Another LD YAY!!! But VERY limited control...

I had what was basically a false awakening, because I noticed I was lying on my back in my bed. But I couldn't open my eyes, and I had an odd floating sensation. So then I realized I was dreaming and became lucid. But I still had the usual sleep paralysis symptoms: couldn't move, couldn't open my eyes or even speak. But since I knew I was lucid, I became determined to utilize it as much as possible. I concentrated on changing my surroundings, since I couldn't really move, and I managed to go from lying on the bed to lying on the floor. I still couldn't see, but I could feel the carpet under my fingers, and was able to move my hands.

So I thought, well I'm lying on the floor and can't really change that, so I'll try to summon my lover . I tried and tried and tried......I concentrated on his face, his name, his body, EVERYTHING. I WILLED him to appear, but to no avail . Then I lost lucidity and continued with some random dream.

I think I failed because deep down I felt it wasn't possible, because he lives over 750 miles away. Which is stupid, because ANYthing should be possible in a dream. Oh well, at least I was able to change some stuff. More practice I guess........

      Nice!

Too bad ur lover wasnt there

There's a technique, that uses ur mind, instead of ur body to move you in a dream. It is vaguely explained in "The art of dreaming " book.

      Hey, Kudos Ophelia.

I've never really had the sleep paralysis problem when becoming lucid...i guess i'm just lucky, but either way, congrats again

I was lucid this morning and summoned my lover(She's in Wales ). I Shouted out to her, and amazingly she called right back! So I walked and she appeared around the corner. Then we hugged, started walking together and damnit...I woke up. But I was lucky enough to have another LD right after. Just not with my girl...

      Congrats all the same !
I know you have trouble getting long enough sleep for being lucid!

I don't seem to have a problem with summoning from a distance.
On one of my first induced lucids, I summoned my mother and gran from over 1500km away.
And I've dreamt of Je33ica, who I'm not even sure where she lives!

And of course, Ophelia... but that sort of didn't count, cos it was a movie dream - watching a video of her topless and me being a camera
      Still not half bad! hehe
