thrid lucid, need help with flying

k, so I had a lucid this morning!, I remember I was sitting on some stairs with my friend and we were talking and got to what would we do if we were lucid. So I was like we gotta see if were lucid or not first, so I did the nose RC. To my amazement it worked and I was in a dream, I kept doing the nose RC because it felt sweet :). We started to decide what we would do and we decided, because we dont have much money in reality, we would buy a super expensive sports car. Anyway we reaserched a good place to buy the most expensive sports car and found one, thus started our journy. First we got rid of our current dream cars, mine being some black luxury SUV, I didnt see his car. In this dream I was somewere I didnt know, then I was suddenly in my house, I dont remember how I got there. So were walking through my house and I look outside my patio window, its cold cold winter. So I close my eyes to make it summer, open them and its still winter.... So then we walk out the front door and its summer :). I then find myself on the front lawn with my friend and I look at steps infront of my house and theres my little cousin sitting there. I ask him "wanna see something cool?" And I do my first attempt EVER at flying in a dream. My muscels tense up a lot, and I slowly make my way into the air. I get up to about the hieght of my nieboors roof and I drop like a rock on to my gravel drivway. I try it again but the same thig happens. So my friend and I start walking away to go buy a sprtscar when I think, "wouldent it be sweet to have a handgun right now" So I look to my side and try to see if theres a box there (I came up with this thing were I just turn and theres a magic box there, and what ever I want is in the magic box) It is not there, I try again but it does not appear, so I keep on with my journy. I try to fly a few more times with the same results as last time. Suddenly I am downtown. We see the car dealership and start on our way there. And then I focus on some e-mail adresses I randomly think of, I have a feeling they are mine and my friends, but then I wake up.

I woke up at like 11:15 in the afternoon, late lucid.....


Okay so as you read im not to good with flying, any suggestions?

Neat dream! Here are some things that work for me
Taking a running start, it helps me. Push off of other things, that can help too.
Bouncing, like you are on a trampoline or pogo stick (minus the stick), and when you get high enough start to fly.
Concentrating really hard and just having your feet move off of the ground a bit, then work your way from there. I have had some times when it was very hard to get any type of height and will sort of fly low and ground, but I keep at it. I will then position my body in a different way instead of flying upright just standing and keep trying, that helps a lot. Flying is the best, good luck and keep trying! You will love it!

I like to imagine the ground falling away from me rather than myself flying away from it. Jumping off of high places help some people too, so you might give that a shot. For me flying comes depending on how lucid I am and how confident I'm feeling, but it's gotten easier every time I try so far... just act like it's second nature to ya!

That's a really cool idea, I wanna give that a try sometime :D

I like gliding to flying. Find a gentle hill or something to jump off of, then just glide.

for me mastering flying in a dream like everything else took pracitce.. through time U will become more accurate

Hi, I have to admit that I am completely new to talking about what I know now is Lucid Dreaming. I have been doing this since I was a child, and can control almost every aspect of my dreams, however, there are some dreams that I can't control everything. Flying is the best part of my dreams, what I do is run, run as fast as you can and think almost up up and away! Its funny to me that I'm talking to others that are interested. I'm actually searching for help, because I had a negative (whatever it was) find me, and I was looking for info to reassure myself that I'm not alone, and these things do happen to people. Thanks for any post

Hi, you fly like I do. The running is essential for me, although sometimes when I really want to fly it won't happen. How long have you been doing this? Have you had other experiences- like being afraid and not knowing why? Just wondering.

Yessir, that it is :D

flying for me was quite easy really

technique:
really what you should do, if feel like you want to fly, is just jump with the intention that your going to fly
a lot times you don't need to think, just jump, but if you want to be assured, you can say to yourself outloud or in your head "I will fly now"(or some other phrase that awes your friends) and as I said before, just jump and trust me you'll find yourself flying
