      Angry Dream then Sleep Paralysis

Last night i was trying to go into a LD but i've had not much practice and i went into a regular, non-lucid dream. The dream was me stood on a small hill and someone was running up to me. In the dream i could feel myself scared and i shouted "Help!" but it only came out in breaths so nobody could hear me. This person turned into a swan and hit into me but then i woke up. I was lieing there just thinking what that was about until i went into 'Sleep Paralysis'.

Sleep Paralysis feels like a large, heavy object has been put onto all of your body exept for parts of your face. I then started hearing loud noises and ringing in my ears. When i tried to speak it just came out in breaths like in the dream. When i tried to move i just twitched.

It was a nasty experience and felt like another being was in the same room as me and it didn't want me there.
Could this of been Sleep Paralysis and my feelings were fake? Or did i have Sleep Paralysis in a dream?

It sounds like you had real sleep paralysis and you weren't dreaming. Just ignore the wierd sounds and sensations.

There is 2 things you could have done, either:
-Tried to WILD, it is super easy when under SP.

-Broken out of it. It is possible to un-paralyse yourself, you just have to try to move really hard. I do it all the time, just keep on trying and after a few minutes you will have pushed the toxin out of your bloodstream and you will be able to move again. However, it takes a LOT of effort and leaves your muscles aching, doing a WILD is much better for you.

Sounds to me like it was just a false awakening in which you were paralyzed, are you sure that you woke up?

Yeah i was awake but then i fell straight back to sleep after like 10 - 20 seconds. It's hard to tell the time in them because i wasn't really thinking of it, i just wanted to break free!

I know that the urge to try to break free is very strong, but you would be better off just trying to WILD instead. Breaking out of SP takes a lot of effort and isn't pleasant.

It's possible? wow....i've tried to fight SP just to see what happens and it feels....impossible! i knew it was SP but wanted to see how it felt trying to struggle, and talk but i could not force myself to yell or move no matter how hard i tried. I usually just lay there in SP saying in my head "this is SP, feels cool". I guess you need tons of will power.

Yeah you're right it isn't pleasant. I remember when I had SP before I didn't even know about LDing. Man I was trying to move soo hard and eventually I moved hard enough and fell on the floor. Surprisingly I still had enough energy to run down the stairs lol. Then my body ached, and it felt like I just worked out for a while.

      Dream then Sleep Paralysis

      Hi there,
The paralysis bit must have been scary for you. I might add that hills are usually pleasant dream symbol especially when you are on top. Also swans symbolise prosperous and pleasant experiences. Perhaps when you were knocked over, the fear made you realise you were going to fall and brought on the paralysis.
