How do you know you're not lucid, cuz it sounds like you have your awareness of dreaming.

Have you tried manipulating the dream world? RCs?

      You're lucid.

Looks like your problem is control. Or it could be lack of conviction in your awareness. Try doing mneunic drills before you go to sleep like telling or picturing yourself in total control of you dream.

Well.. not exactly.. when you become lucid, you suddenly realize, "Hey, this is a dream!!" and so you can consciously manipulate it. You can still feel your physical body, though. That's where all the techniques of increasing dream-awareness come in, like running your hands along a rough surface or examining your surroundings.

Yes, I believe that's it exactly!

Just this morning, I had a lucid dream.. well, it lasted for a few seconds, and I didn't do anything cool, but it was lucid! Go me! Anyway, it started with a FA. I was laying there in bed, and decided to do a RC. So I held my noise, and gasp shock I could breathe!! I was so amazed that I finally became lucid in a dream that I just kept laying there, breathing, not knowing what to do. Then suddenly, I became aware of my "real" hands and of where they were positioned on the bed, as well as the "dream" hands that were holding my nose closed. Unfortunately this confused me, so I woke up.

So there you go, two separate bodies.

Well.. if you're lucid, you'll always be aware that it's not real and it's just in your head. But things can seem real. Like if you taste something, it'll taste real.. if you touch something, smell something, it'll all seem real. Sometimes people get tricked by their subconscious into believing everything is actually real, and they therefore lose lucidity.

So, in short, whether it seems real or not, the important thing is that you know it's a dream. And that's how you're lucid.

(I said "real" way too many times.)

I find that I only feel my body during wake induced lucids.
Dream induced, I can't... unless its a really really 'thin' one...

No you're not "supposed" to feel your body, but you sometimes do.

You know, now that I think about it, I am rarely aware of my body, walking, or any normal habits when I am traveling around a dream. Almost as if I am gliding or whatever.

I mean sometimes I fall down, run, or I'm , and then I'm aware of my body, but otherwise no.

Do you think this is some sort of psychological thing, does everyone else to this?
