hello people!
yeah, the other night i had a non lucid dream and i was being chased by my science teacher for some reason. anyway, i pulled out the portal gun from the famouse portal game and escaped through the wall. but when i LD, for some reason i cant get the gun to work! and if i'm being honest, i have NO idea why not. by the way, if you are not familiar with the portal game, i suggest you look it up because it is epic.

I walk through walls in my dreams alot. Infact, i often do it and STILL dont become lucid >_>
I basically relax my body, and accept that i have always been able to walk through walls.
If your muscles are tense, they wont pass through the solid object, but if your muscles are relaxed, then can pass through anything - FACT

Does the gun just not shoot, or can you not walk through the portal. I imagine creating the portal would be the hardest bit, since once it's there then you will be able to see through it and therefore find it fairly easy to walk through. I don't know, obviously you know more than me. I must try this though - it would be an interesting way to get around.
You didn't have enough faith in the gun.

You focused on the wall. You knew that you were trying to pass through it, forget the wall. If you don't pay attention to it then it doesn't exist. Try running through it backwards.
I had this problem in my last lucid dream with a door. However, for some reason, I could walk through a pillar.
My guess is that you aren't seeing yourself go through the door. Think of it as a magic trick... It won't work unless you know what you're doing. Surely enough, you didn't know that you could go through the wall.
When I was trying to get through the door, I was scared. However, when I went through the pillar, I felt very powerful and triumphant.
Maybe try tricking yourself into believing that you've done it before, so you can do it agian?
Also, as for the gun (I love that game!), it is as what everyone else said.
However, you are probably not expecting the gun to work. Of course it will, it's your dream, so all you have to do is imagine it working and it will... 'cause that's how dreams work ^_^
Yup Yup , that's what I do. I gain momentum and at the last minute I turn my back and "fall" through the wall. Works every time. Especially good with fences.Quote:
