how to turn FA's into LD's?

anyone have exp with turning FA's to LD's? I have discovered this past week when I wake up and try to fall asleep thinking of stuff I would have a FA. Like I would wake up for real then I would sit in bed thinking aboult going to the bathroom then go but wake up in the middle of a piss in my bed noticing it was a FA lol The window seems to be atleast a min from waking up~ I guess like a instant WILD because Im awake. Can anyone help me?

Yep - just get into the habit of doing a reality check EVERY time you wake up.

U can turn FAs into LDs but from experience it's not worth it unless U know how to prolong the dream. FAs are short and when U do become lucid...there won't be sufficient time for U to do anything. But U can try...what I did was to place a torch light near my bed and do a check with it everytime I wake up. It never lights up twice in a row if it's a dream....:).

That is not my experience. I've had some fabulous and long lucids from FAs. I've also been able to "chain" lucids through a series of FAs.

that's not true...3 of my longest lucids have been from FA's.

Hi, U prolonged the dream? How long were they? FAs are when Ur gonna wake up nearer to conciousness...:). Ur one of the lucky ones I guess....:D

You can have FAs when you are fast asleep (but in REM sleep, of course). :) I used to have them all the time as a kid, so I know how they can go.

To me FAs aren´t THE most reliable form of LD. For me it goes WILD-DILD-FA in order of reliability. A lot of the time when I turn a FA into an LD I can't move, and shortly after wake up to real SP for about 5 seconds, after which I either go back to sleep to another LD, or wake up annoyed :P

Just this morning I had a false awakening. I performed the nose RC, which failed, and I ended up with my longest and most vivid LD yet.

I had a DILD last night and decided to deliberately induce a FA to try and increase the clarity. It worked, but I also found I couldn't move. I just couldn't sit up in bed. Eventually I managed to pull my hand to my nose and do a breathing RC. This proved to myself I hadn't woken up for real and then I was able to move. It then lead into the longest most realistic DILD I've ever had.
