First night, but then a year after that.
Also the first night.
But I have had them as far back as I can remember, just rarely. Maybe 2 or 3 per year. Then I had one last December and started looking it up online. A few days later I started to get interested in ways of inducing them and tried to do it and had another lucid that night.
I've been having them occasionally since childhood, but after finding this site and actively trying, I had a DILD the first night. I think the first one is easy since your mind is so focused and excited on LDs in the beginning.
It took a few weeks for my first successful WILD though.
I saw an ad for a NovaDreamer back in 1998 when they were still being sold by the Lucidity Institute and I had a lucid dream the first time I wore it.
My first lucid happened after about 3 weeks of actually trying for them, right when I stopped trying, I had one. From there, they seemed to come once every couple weeks, and now usually around one - 3 per week, but this is after around 2+ years of having actually tried.
I first became aware of the concept of lucid dreaming from the best movie I have ever seen, "Waking Life." I had a few lucid dreams as a child, without trying. However, when I began to make serious LD attempts every night, I have had 18 in just under 3 months. They were not high-levels LDs until about a month in, though.
in the first three months i managed to have about four . But then i stopped putting the effort in and have not had one since. I started up my dream journal and am now actively trying again...so i plan to have another within the next thirty days :)
It took me about a week
I got my first my eighth day of trying.
Exactly one month from starting my dream journal, had no control though. : /
When i did have my first, i had first discovered LD's about 6 months before.
My first LD came the night i heard about them...
 And i was only trying dream recall woo
My first time was naturally - and been having them for years.
Then found out and understood that what I was doing was called lucid dreaming, and from that point took about 6 months for the next one. Almost like knowing what I was doing some how put a mental block on things.
All back to normal now though :D
VERY first time, I'd say 2 weeks? Got one after i quit and just recently got into them again this past saturday and just WILD'd last night, granted i woke up in the middle of the night and SP came very easily.
well my first one i was 8 maybe
the everyweek
welll now i see like 3 or more a week
I had never had one before I first heard about it from surfing 4chan's /x/ board. I googled lucid dreaming and found this site. Then, I had like three in one night that first weekend. After that, it took me several weeks to have another. Now I'm up to like one or two every week or two.
i had ine the first night but only for like 5sec becouse i forgot about it then
I've been having them my whole life, I just never realized what they were. Now that I do know what they are, I've been having a harder time becoming lucid. I never tried to control anything in my dreams, I just always enjoyed how real everything felt. I had my first "real" lucid dream last night. Acutally I became lucid in the middle of a nightmare, which allowed me to get out of the nightmare.
I've never had a Lucid Dream.
I've been keeping a dream journal for 5 days so I'm not worried or mad about the fact that I have not become lucid yet. I'm improving my dream recall at the moment.
When I finished reading "Exploring the World of Lucid dreaming," I want to say it was a week or 2 after. I can't rememer, i want to say the next week after reading it.
When I began regularly recording my dreams and thinking about lucidity in everyday life, it took me a month to have one then a few more months to have several more. The hard part is upkeeping the daily questioning and awareness. Once you have one it seems to be easy to just float back into routine.
Then again the only method I use it to question reality a lot. So I only get lucid when I think to do that...
