FIRST LD!!!

Hey, i just had my first lucid dream
I woke up in the middle of the night, and decided to turn on the tv. Then i did a reality check by looking at the channel number in the TV. It got really blurry and the parts of the numbers kept dissapearing so i realised i was lucid. I decided first i had to calm down so i didnt wake up and just sat in bed for a bit. Then i tried to jump high, i jumped 3 feet then 4 feet then 6 feet in the air! it was awesome. Then i did somethin stupid, i wanted to try and fly. So i just ran and jumped out my window without thinking about it, after i broke through it i realised that i had forgotten to concentrate on flying, and just fell to the ground. It was really spooky because i felt the shock on my legs when i hit the ground, but it was fun, then i just spent the night swinging from trees and stuff and thats it :)

Sounded like you had fun, flying is not stupid... maybe jumping out of windows is :P

I jumped out of a window in my dreams before. My mother was trying to kill me, and I realised I was dreaming, so I jumped out of the window. I didn't fly out the window, I just jumped and hit the ground. Then I flew down the street and my mother came chasing me on a bike. It was funny.

And congratulations on your first lucid dream! I have to try to stay calm when I lucid dream, because usually I just fly away instantly and thenwake up soon after.

I'm not new to Lucid Dreaming, I began my adventure just before 1970 when I became an avid reader of Carlos Castaneda. Dreaming awake was not achieved until some point in 1974...Since then I have had both fascinating as well as traumatic experiences...Once on a World Cruise when returning from the crack between the Worlds I narrowly missed going over board by six inches...My most pleasant experience was with my buddy dreaming together...He was in France and I was in Berkeley, California...We were experimenting with transcommunication and successfully recorded (and sent) the same exact experience with the exception of one other being (that he had in his experience). We continued this dreaming together for five years. He died but was able to reach me fifteen minutes before his unexpected death in a very powerful communication. I was in North Carolina he was in Cocoa Beach, Florida.
I have been to this web site before but have just returned as I am introducing a new apprentice to Lucid Dreaming.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW that's a great first LD!!!!!!!!!!! It even lasted after you hit the ground. That's so amazing....if it had been MY first LD, I would have woken up as soon as I hit the window, lol. That's so great that you got to spend the night being Tarzan, hehe.

you probably only fell because you freaked out. YOu were doing it right at first. Thats how I get myself to fly. Just take leaps of faith. Awesome dream, congratualtions on the first.

lol ya jumpin out the window was pretty fun, suprised me when i hit the ground i felt it tho. Anyways when i woke up it was like i remembered an extremely vivid dream and it just was weird like not a normal memory but sort of as if someone erased a part of it and stuk it bak in my brain. Im going insane everynight hopin for anotherone but it feels great to have had my first LD :)

One time I was trying to fly, and I jumped off the staircase. I just gently floated to the ground. o.o

That's funny, I always FALL down staircases. :? It feels really cool though.

One of my first dreams was like that as well... . .
i was in my basement
and the t v was on... waking life was playing
but david davconay was the main character..
haha.. i did a light check... but weird.. cause the lights went up really bright until they exploded
and then I JUMPED OUT MY WINDOW and started flying around.. . ..
I always jump through my window or through my roof when i'm in a lucid dream,
I just want to get outside and play !!!

Congrats! Were there any particular techniques you used or just dreamsigns? It sounds like a good dream. I'd managed a slight level of control in my 2nd LD (the whole 25 seconds it lasted and I scrapped for the time), but I haven't flied yet. Keep dreamin!....and I don't mean that in any sort of derogatory sense. :wink:

Mainly i just found out from remeberin to do my reality checks, the numbers on the TV were what set me off. When i found out it was really weird like at first i couldnt remember how i should feel.

It appears as though you beat me to the first lucid dream while I was in Europe, no worries. I was just wondering if you just went to sleep once and it happened then, or if it was during a nap, or if it was u woke up then went right back to sleep.
