      Spider Killer

*Everything in my dream is fake, I hope, and kind of disgusting*

This morning, school started late because of state testing, so I got to stay home until 11:00. I decided I was tired, and layed back down. After sitting for about 20 or so minutes, I started dreaming. This was my first lucid dream, and it was very mild (couldn't control, only watch). So in my dream I was laying on the bed the same way I fell asleep, and my brother was in the room. There was a giant tarantula on the floor, and he told me to watch.

"I was watching a slipknot video," he said, "and they always kill an animal before performing (bull, not true)." He picked up the tarantula, poked it four times in the abdomen, then ran a fingernail along its side. And, like that, he took hold of both sides and the tarantula very easily pulled it perfectly in half. He said that if you poke an animal four times and run a nail along its side, something to the effect of it messing with atomical structure and making it easy to pull apart . So, one half crawled away, and he picked up the other and messed with stringy pale guts.

It was my first lucid dream, to which I woke up saying "W-T-F?"
I hope this didn't disgust anybody

BTW, I've never managed to have an LD laying with my whole body on the bed. I got it to work by having my back on the bed, and letting my legs dangle off, and my feet on the ground. I wonder why having my feet on the ground made it easier? Hmmm...

Ok.. first ..ewww to your pulled apart tarantula!

As to why having your feet on the ground make it easier for you to LD it's probably because this isn't the normal/usual way that you sleep at night and therefore you're sleeping "lighter" and are possibly just more "aware".
