This happened to me once when i was in the army, i thought i had woken up since i was laying in my own bunk in the same room i went asleep in and it was night so nothing seemed out of the ordinary but then some strange person i didnät know tried to choke me and i couldn't move i was paralyzed and i tried to scream for help and i almost uttered something i believe but it sounded just as if i was really being choked, then the person started rocking my bunk and slammed it into the wall and at this point i was really freaking out. But then i woke up for real and i wasn't too worried since i knew exactly what had happened, since i had read about it previously: |

"Next time your eating a Reese's and some guy named Reese comes up to you and says let me have that. You better give it to him. I'm sorry Reese, I didn't think I would ever run into you." - Mitch Hedberg
I remember the first time in my adult life that I experienced "The Old Hag", I was asleep alone in an apartment and I saw a little girl with no face and stringy black hair staring at me from my kitchen. It really freaked me out! |

Sometimes my knees hurt really bad and when i wake up in the morning the pain is gone but i have scars on my knees |
|
I have had a couple encounters with the old hag and they scared the heck outa me. |

~I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.~
M0rp8ix's twisted reality
I don't really know much about lucid dreaming and such but just happened to look it up on wikipedia after seeing the very interesting Waking Life film. |

Thats a great description of Old Hag. People often forget to explain the way the visual aspects of Old Hag work. Its not just random hallucinations, or dreams overlapping reality. I'm sure I won't explain this right, but maybe it will encourage someone who knows more about this to correct me |

WOahhhhh woahh |

Its called Charles Bonnet Syndrome. It commonly occurs when your eyes are receiving a lack of information. Your brain fills in the gaps. |
