      Oh-My-God! My first LD!!!

      FINALLY!

It was the first LD in my life!!! I've waited for it so loooooooooong! For the last year I've been trying some of the techinques of achieving LD and it never worked! And now! Now! Now I didn't do anything and I just had LD!

      I definitely deserved it!!!

The dream was about tragic death of one of my best friends. Together with some other friends we were crying and reminding all of the funny stories with her. And we wanted to hear her laughing again so badly! It was terrible and I thought something like 'Oh God, it's so terrible, why it can't be just a dream! But it's not, it's so real'. And suddenly that dead friend walked to the room through the window and said 'Hello! What's up?' and started to laugh.

And OMG! Later I had like 30-minutes long lucid dream!! I was very excited but I managed not to wake up because of it! And I remembered all of the important things like shouting 'LIGHT!' when the dream was becoming darker. I was walking, shouting and talking to many people. It was absolutely fantastic!

And the best thing about it is that when I normally wake up and try to recall my dreams, I always remember only single, blury images. But during this dream today, I noticed everything is absolutely real, sharp and colourful! And completely smooth, it wasn't just images. It looked even better than the real world! So I just remember dreams looking differently than they actually looked. That's great!

I forgot to do some things like flying but still it was great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm the happiest person in the world!

congrats How about a description of what happened when you became lucid? Were you dreaming and just suddenly realized it, or did something tip you off, or..? And once you realized it, what was the first thing you did? Ect... I think a lot of us find those kind of details interesting.. I know I do

Well, as I have already written - my friend walked through the window when I was crying because of her death.

What was the first thing I did? Hummm... I think the first thing I did was wandering around. Later I talked to some friends and some people I don't know but I don't rememember what I talked about. I remember later I talked to my best friend and I told her that when she wakes up I want her to remember password 'green light' (because her head was kind of illuminating). But she didn't remember. Well, I was mostly walking, talking and shouting but still it was great. I don't want to describe details, because you won't understand them without context of my life.

Yeah, you said that, but you didn't say that was the point you became lucid. Plenty of people see dead friends in their dreams and it seems perfectly normal to them - they only realize when they wake that "oh - so and so has passed away, yet I was dreaming she was alive". It doesn't make them lucid. You said she started to laugh and said "what's up", but didn't say that that triggered lucidity. Then you jumped to "OMG, later I had a 30 min long lucid dream", so I thought the lucid was later on, not during the dead friend dream. Also, we get many posts just saying "I got lucid, and it was great", hence me asking for a few details. If you don't feel comfortable describing your dream because I don't know the 'context of your life', that's fine I've got the gist, and don't think I need to know any more

I don't want to spam too much on these forums but I'm proud to say that this morning I had the second LD! It lasted only like 5 minutes but I'm EXTREMLY happy that I had another one!

      How did I become lucid?
Well, just because of my laziness. I woke up in the morning and thought I wanted to sleep a little bit more, fell asleep again and woke up again and decided to sleep a little bit more again but this time I thought that maybe I'd try to have LD. So I wanted just to enter the dream but I didn't manage to stay awake and just fell asleep (now I think I did the right thing!). And since the beginning of the dream I knew it was a dream!

      What was I doing?
I was in my house and I walked a little and talked to my sister. Then I started to hear my sister talking in RL and my brother listening to the music in RL, too! So I had to recognize which sound is real and which one is from my dream and ignore these real ones. I'm happy I managed to do that! Then I decided that this time I want to fly but I was so afraid of waking up and so hurry that I wanted to do it inside the building. And I woke up.

30 minutes? That's really long, especially for a first LD. Congratulations!

      Wow! The third one!
      And finally I was flying!!!

The dream was very complicated and suddenly I just realized I was dreaming. So I thought 'hummm... I'm not sure if this is a dream, so I'll try to conjure up something'. And I thought about a houseplant. 'I want a houseplant'. Then everything became bit blurred and when it was sharp again, I could see a houseplant standing in front of me. Nevertheless it was a decoration made of china, it was a houseplant!

So I just thought I'm going to jump out of a window to check if this is a dream for sure. And the moment when I stopped falling in the air and didn't feel the gravity at all, God, it was so totally amazing! And I started to fly! I was in the air over my city, I saw all the familiar skycrapers. It was so wonderful!!

When I was flying, I thought I could try conjuring up something else - and I thought about a big dinosaur. When I turned around (still in the air), there was a huge pink dino-like Teddy Bear in the city. I think it didn't move, so not exactly what I wanted but... it was sweet!

Thank you for all your congratulations and wishes, I really hope for having the fourth one, I could charm out some person, I already have a long who-I-want-to-talk-to list. Anyway, I think my mind is in the 'I CAN HAVE A LUCID DREAM' mode now, so I just need to train to have them more frequently than once for 2 months I'm so happy! Thanks again
