      Flying!

Flying in my lucid dreams is the best.
It's my favorite thing to do.
seriously, every single one of my LD's have me flying in them.
It's the most wonderful thing, I'll run a bit to get a boost and then BOOM! Right into the sky I go. I fly to wonderful places of the world. I meet new "dream people" and real people(mostly famous). the wind blows threw my hair, I fly past birds and airplanes. It's wonderful, truly. So, This whole thread shall be about flying, does anyone else have a big obsession with it?

Wish I could fly in my dreams, I'm so doing it next time I get lucid! Well, I'll try to remember anyway.

well I'm sure if you remember to become lucid you can remember to fly!
it's not really hard, and it feels a lot different than what you would think.
when going in the air instead of a "floating" feeling it feels more like you're propelling yourself..well maybe, that's just me!

Use the search function. Seriously, newbies always make the same threads about the same things. Can we please start deleting/locking threads that are just repeats of old topics?
You do this every fucking time.
      No sweat.
      No tears.
      No guilt.
You do this every fucking time.

Flying never gets old in dreams the real challenge is to figure out diffrent ways to fly. I once was in the form of a human/bird, another way that Is great is to just reverse gravity on whatever ground your on....you wont even have to know how to fly if you know how to control gravity.

I just had my first lucid dream and I flew. I did feel at first as if there was something that was pushing me forward. I love flying and only wish it could happen in real life.

Newbies make threads cos they're new, and excited about certain things. I've never understood the "there's been a thread on this more than once before!" attitude. If you don't want to partake in a thread, just leave it. There will always be new ppl coming in, who didn't see the old threads on a subject. Sure, they could search, but maybe the last thread on the subject is a year old. What's the point of bumping a year old thread? Maybe there's other folks who are new and want to talk about flying. Maybe there's veterans who's have more flying experiences and have a different take on it now than they used to. Maybe the thread starter has something new, a different perspective, something unique to share. If you're tired of flying dream threads, then when you see one, just skip it. Problem solved I don't think it helps a forum (and I've run forums myself for years) to lock or delete threads because the topic has been discussed before. I never did it when I was an admin. Obviously if there's two threads on the same page, that's another thing, but usually there isn't a similar thread for at least a few pages. I just don't see the problem... I think the more threads, the better.

Now, on the subject of flying: when I was having lucids as a kid, I flew a LOT - I have great memories of flying over my town as a child, finding my house and my school, swooping over the trees and racing with birds and just having an amazing time. Now that I'm having lucids again, I've had a few flying dreams, and they've been great. The sense of freedom - there's just nothing like it...and the trippy thing is how much I feel like I belong in the sky, when I'm flying, as if I was meant to be here, and I'm just coming back 'home', to how things should be. Hopefully I'll get lucid tonight - I feel like flying now
