      my dream & my discovery

Basically so you dont have to read all that what i realized is that when im lucid dreaming i have to stay 96% focused on keeping it lucid or i loose it. i say 95% because the other 5% is buisy being amazed and looking around lol.

Well up until last night id had one fully successful lucid dream that i remembered clearly and about 4 not so successful dreams that are faint memory's.
Last night during my dream i was running and it was one of those dreams where you cant run fast, i wasn't event trying to get away from anyone lol i just wasn't getting to my desired destination, then in the dream i remember thinking hold on that means im dreaming! and having read up on lucid dreaming i decided to make the most of it . Firstly i attempted to fly as this is the most common and straight forward thing to try, i lent forward and began to lift myself of the floor, i then remembered that in my other lucid dream when i began to fly i could not stop myself and i rose to high and ended up waking up, i then fell back to the floor, after about 2 more attempts i realized that i had to stay focused whilst trying to fly or else i just landed again. I managed it! I flew about 20ft in the air and traveled around 150Ft. I then noticed my mum in our house and one of the windows were smashed, so i went over to see how it got smashed (i was starting to forget to control the dream by this point) she went on to tell me and then i totally forgot about keeping the dream lucid and then it just went back to being a normal dream

Cool dream dude, I have the unable to run thing a lot. I never think to myself that I might be dreaming though. Maybe now that I'm getting more into lucid dreaming I will know it next time.

Rub your hands, look at them, or doing other RC's will make you stay lucid. So it's not 95% focus but still checking it every now and then.

ok ive had another 2 since this one!!

not very long or intense but i tried the task of the month ( trying to eat something un-edible ) took a bite out of a tree and it tasted like sugar cane and then tried to take a bite out of a metal pole but i failed lol

ive found a method thats been working fairly well for me

firstly i do the reversed blinking method, where you close your eyes and quickly open and close them every 5-15 seconds till my eye lids start feeling more relaxed when closed instead of when open.
I then tell myself in my head that the next time anything happens i will do a reality check
if anyone walks into the room or if i hear a odd noise i hold my nose and try and breath (i find this to be the easiest rc)
pretty much as soon as im dreaming i hold my nose and try and breath, i do this a few times just to be sure i can still breath whilst holding my nose.
This is the point where i often loose lucidity as i get distracted.

o yeah ive also noticed i have much more trouble gaining lucidity whilst under the influence of cannabis

The nosepinch is a very good one, ok. It's also a sort of feeling or mindstate that you must evolve. The knowing-that-your-dreaming is what has to be stuck in your mind, no matter what you are doing (inside the dream ofcourse).
Never tried LD under influence, so can't say anything about that. There are a lot of threads on that here though.
