Attempting WILD vibrations took my breath away? :D

First off I have been trying WILD for a couple weeks now. But I normally fall asleep when I wake myself up. I have about 4 lucids a month but I just become aware in dream.

I didn't get much sleep the night before last. I went bed at 4.30am and woke at 8.30 and was up all day..

I then went bed at about 3am last night I was knackered .. I thought it will be great for trying to WILD without waking up 3-4hrs later.

So I had a joint to help me relax. I was in bed and relaxed my body limb by limb until I was numb and couldn't feel anything. I felt the normal feeling I get when I have been trying to WILD over the past couple of weeks.. or I'm just relaxing in bed. Its like a electric field in my body is this vibrations?

then I was lay there for about 15mins.. and I was just still relaxing focusing on my breathing which was really slow and small. Then I felt this wave in my head it was so intense I was shocked and took a big breath in it literally took my breath away.. it moved down my body .. I got a few of them. I remembered someone saying you will feel your body passing over when it thinks its asleep.

I heard an aeroplane going over my house.. but the noise it was making gave off echoes of a trippy women's voice making weird noises. It was amazing I just listened it was like singing. It was very beautiful.

I tried to picture something. I saw a bug it was in PERFECT detail was amazing.. just really perfect close up all brightly coloured. I tried to picture other things but it wasn't really happening. I must have fell asleep because I jumped and recalled a small dream.. to which I wasn't in control

I think I was too tired to carry on and passed out.

How do you know what you are in SP? Can anyone give more clearer discription on the vibrations and what to do?

what was the wave I felt go over my head & body that took my breath away. It was so powerful it had an electric buzzing noise to it.

So sorry my grammar and punctuation is bad.

      Thank you for reading.

      :]

Does this "wave going over your head" hurt at all? Because a few times while in SP I get the same type of thing, this wave comes up and I here a noise almost like an airplane very loud while it happens and it actually real hurts, worse than a waking headache. Its to the point where all I try to do at that point is wake myself up and it ruins what could have been a WILD. This has only happened tho when waking up already in SP.

      No it doesn't hurt

it was shocking at first because I was just really relaxed and then ZOOOOFFF over my head I was like :O

when I calmed myself down because the feeling was so crazy it was kinda pleasant. No pain at all.

I don't know what could cause that. :S maybe its Tinnitus ???

I attempted to WILD before but only got SP up to my waist. When I felt it going higher my heart started pounding and it went away. That was months ago and I haven't been able to do it since. Everytime I try I get small spasms in my feet and toes, does this happen at all to you? I think the spasms prevent SP from taking place which sucks.

      I was gonna mention them..

I got tiny little spasms all down my legs it was crazy!!! just really small areas of spasm it did it for a while.

it went on for about 20mins then I was really relaxed.. I think I was about to fall asleep then the wave that went through my head downwards kinda shocked me and my mind was then wide awake.

I think you just have to wait the spasms out :]

all together it took me about 1 1/3 hours

Cool, thanks. Usually I just move once I get the spasms thinking that I need to get into a more comfortable position. I shall try again tonight.

The spasms are hypnic jerks which are normal when going into SP. It sounds like you were getting awfully close to successfully completeing your WILD. SP is a little different for everyone. You were just hearing auditory hallucinations which is normal and definately interesting. The other night when I had a WILD, I heard laughing. If you hear a certain noise that actually sounds like something real, turn it into a dream. I could have visualized a party and that's why people were laughing, which would have led me into a dream conciously. So if you hear an airplane noise, visualize being at an airport and maybe you'll enter a dream at an airport or something.

I had a WILD straight from starting to sleep early in night. I say that, but it took like 4 tries to get there. I lay in one spot and tried to WILD, but as soon as I moved..I moved to a more comfortable position and started again, but each time got quicker to SP and HI.
I had taken 2 Dreamins Lucid tablets..but had taken so many times with no effect. I now realised it was not the tablets....but the process to which the WILD was attributed.
After going to bed at 12.30...it was 1.20am now. I had all the twitches and itches we all get. Ignore them...its a trick to get you to move and test if you are really going to sleep. I kept picturing a place I could really see vividly in my mind and when it pictured, said "I am lucid here"...but if you focus too long on it, you cant fall asleep. So what you do is keep a trailing thought of the place...and drift off every so often flashing in your mind back to the place. The lucid thought is there already...just think of the place.
I found myself in a false awakening having a vampire fight with my wife in the very dark. This startled me, but everytime I looked over at my clock it wasn't there or was a diff color LCD. This alerted me that it was Lucid !
THe dream from then on is not important other than it led out from my room...but wasn't really in my house. I was amazed that i looked at my hands several times and saw disfigured or twisted fingers and kept me lucid for a very (very) long time. Keeping calm through the wildest situations helps a lot.

So I tried last night with no luck. Not sure why. I got HI and I think SP began but got no further then my ankles. I heard a some wierd sounds, a hum like a boiler or something but I'm not sure if thats of any relevance. My mind seemed wide awake yet if I tried to remember what happened a couple of seconds ago (if I heard someone in the hallway for example) it was very fuzzy as if I was dreaming but I don't think I was. I also felt a pressure on the bridge of my nose and a really strong heartbeat on my left abdomen which was strange.

All in all it was about 2 hours before I gave up. I could have stayed at it all night but didn't think it would work, I had an interesting dream all the same though, and it was very vivid.

      A question about WILDs,
When you enter a WILD how do you know you are dreaming? Do you get a fuzzy feeling or something? Are you always in bed when you enter one or can you appear in some random place like normal dreams?

      I'll try again tonight.
