Mirrors
Ive had my share of lucid dreams, maybe 8-10 that I remember. None in the last 8 months or so. One that sticks out I recall, is after becoming lucid, I happened upon a mirror. As you can imagine, this was a sight to be seen. Well I decided to proceed through the mirror, and heres where it got weird. I somewhat fell out the other side into a dark, dank room. Not so much fell as slid-like. At this point I am out of my body, looking down at myself paralyzed on some couch. I felt sleep paralysis-like effects, but much more intense. The intensity started the moment I went through the mirror. It almost ached and I felt ill. This went on for a minute or so of me looking down at my still body looking up at me, and then it was over. Anybody had any similar experiences, or care to explain the mirror effect? Thanks.
Ps. I have also pinched myself repeatedly in lucid dreams. It feels quite strange. Sorry for the long post.

Ha, that was no long post. It was a good post. :3
As with anything in a lucid dream, you control it. If you think "Ah! I see myself! I must be out of body! How creepy!" then strange and creepy things will happen to you. It's like when people feel sleep paralysis for the first time, and they think "Ah! I'm paralyzed! It must be aliens or a demon!" and suddenly they see one! In dreams, thought influences thought. It may be more subtle. Getting those bad mirror thoughts out of your head might be easier if I tell you of some cooler mirror experiences.
Once, I wanted to summon a dream pet. I went up to a mirror, and pretended to grab the pet. I saw it in the mirror, and suddenly it was in my hands! Another time, I pulled myself out of a mirror, and she pulled me in. We had a small chat. Recently, I went through a few mirrors and experienced a funny lag in the reflection (like a digital camera's lag).
I bet that your experience with mirrors will vary, as well. Have fun, and welcome to Dreamviews!
