Close WILD experience
ive been trying to hav lucid dreams for a while but i gave up for a few months then this happened to me totally unintentional
i was in the car, sitting in the back seat and i feel asleep i woke up a couple hours later and closed my eyes again and started hearing a guy say something... then i felt my body floating but i just was seeing black... then i realized i was dreaming but i started to panic because i couldnt open my eyes.. then i woke up... would you all say that was a WILD experience or something else?
-
Yes, that was probably a WILD. When you woke up a couple of hours later, your body was extremely relaxed, and therefore you felt that you were "floating around" and stuff like that that's normal. Did you also hear a buzzing sound in your head during that experience?

A week ago I also had a near-OOBE/AP. I kind of woke up feeling the body vibrating like crazy, and the wooshing sound was going on. I tried to focus really hard on taking the process further, but I got too excited, and my heart started beating like crazy! I also tried to induce a WILD just two days ago, and when my body starts vibrating (or whatever), my heartbeat just goes up! It beats really hard and fast, pain in the ass, really. Makes you lose focus.

the car is a great place for lucid dreams because you are so much more aware. i'm not surprised you had your first WILD experience there.
i've heard of people who occasionally sleep in their car everyone once in a while all night in an attempt to get lucid...

I love falling asleep in moving cars. I can do it anytime of day within 15 minutes. The constant movement of the car puts me to sleep like a baby. Im gonna try doing a WILD next long car ride I have. Maybe start the VILD(vehicle induced Luicid Dream) induction technique:)

i have the same problem wombat, every time i try to have an intentional wild experience i start seeing colors and start vibrating a little then my heartbeat goes up and ruins it. Does anyone have any specefic techniques to lower your heartbeat or things like that?

if you aware enough to calm yourself down, imagine you are riding a bike or something - something that takes up all your concentration physically, - see the sky and hear the wind, try to calm yourself though focusing on that. if you arent aware enough, try focusing on things like that as soon as you shut your eyes and rest. good luck x :D

thanks for the suggestion... i had tried that last night and it didnt get me far i was semi calm but i laid there for two hours straight with no luck, i felt kinda wierd like i couldnt feel my bed at all or anything but nothing visual happened except for colors swirling around but that went away.
