i told someone in my dream i was dreaming

i have had lucid dreams since i was young, i didnt even know they had a name until recently nor did i tell anybody i was having them. the first one i remember was when i was very young and i actually held a penny in my hand (in dreamstate) and woke myself up, hoping the penny would be in my hand when i awoke, of course it wasnt.

but since then i have had many, and one i remember most is when in dreamstate i told my brother who was in the dream that i was actually dreaming and nothing we were doing was real, i'll never forget the look he gave me, it was like oh no he's sussed us, he then said "what are you talking about" and i said watch, and took out of my pocket my wallet (i dont know why a wallet) and threw it through the window of the house we were standing next to which smashed, and he just looked at me funny again. i know it was my mind producing the expressions on his face, but it was very weird.

wow! ur a natural LDer! that must have been really odd! ive never had a proper clear lucid dream but im working on it. my dream recall is getting better

have you ever had a go at dream control?

yes, have used dream control before, its quite odd coming on this site and seeing all the things i have been doing have names for them.

i set triggers in my dreams to alert me that im dreaming, i try to predict a situation or person i think i will see in my dreams and tell myself that when i see this situation/person, i will know that i am dreaming. then when in ld state if there is a person i want to see, i tell myself they are behind the door i am going up to now, inevitably my surroundings change and i will be in a street somewhere with houses around. i go up to a house and open the door, telling myself again that a certain person will be inside and there they are!

i also use a method to awake from nightmares, by telling myself whenever i am afraid, realise you are dreaming and wake yourself up.

In a recent dream, in a yacht scenario, i told a couple of my friends about the whole thing being a dream, and when none of them believed me, i proceeded to demonstrate them about the dreamy nature of that plane by grabbin a girls breasts (the girl, apparently, appeared out of nowhere) then one of them decided to ignore me, but the other one said "wow, so if this is your dream then we are all like robots or something?" and then i dun remember what happened, but i was amazed at such clarity by a dream character

that is so cool! you seem so aware in your dreams! i just get carried away because im so gullible! and my concept of reality is awful!

as soon as I read the title I said to myself "OMG" and the first thing that came to mind was... imagine the dream character said something like "Oh, then I guess I can do whatever I want. And do something crazy."

or... the dream character taking control of the dream.
or... the dream character taking control of all your dreams due to some subconcious fears... or something.

When ever I tell people in my dreams that i'm dreaming
they do one of 2 things... . .
either.. . ..
just keep acting like how they were acting.... like they never heard me..
but it's like they heard me and they know they're dream characters, but they're programmed to act like they aren't and therefor, they can't acknowledge the fact that they are... they kinda just gimme the run around , ye know ?

OR

they find it extremely demeaning, and get angry..
like... how u would feel if someone said u weren't real ?.. .. . ..

and who's to say they rn't real ???

I just don't bother telling them anymore.. . .
It's just a waste of time, ye know..
