When did you see a very obvious dreamsign but never becam lucid?

Well, just last night, I was in an extremely vivid dream that felt hours long, it was in the middle ages (assasin's creed sort of thing, if anyone knows what i'm talkng about :P ). I had to take a king hostage, and melt down his crown etc. and give it to the poor (weird eh?). Anyway, I we were walking through a crowd when the king turned to me and said "you know, I think this may well be a dream", followed by nods of agreement from EVERYONE in the crowd. I then said "no, it isn't because the fish aren't sleeping on the moon yet". AAAAARGGGHHH I'm so stupid I could have had my first lucid!!! stupid brain... *sigh*

so i had an odd experience the other night, i had an LD, i realized i was dreaming while i dreamed but i never performed a single RC, i saw people being shot out of a cannon and i yelled to my friend "were dreaming!" and then i proceeded to try to fly but couldnt so instead i summoned a cup of sweet tea

One time I had the radio on in real life next to my bed and was listening to Coast to Coast AM.

In my dream, I was down my grandmother's and the exact same radio was on the exact same station, sitting on the bench in the kitchen.

They were talking about lucid dreaming on Coast to Coast and I was explaining how I did that and how great it was.

When I woke up, the same program was on the radio in real life. That was about as obvious as it gets. And I still missed it. Any more, when somebody mentions lucid dreaming, it's an RC right away.

Just two days ago I had a dream where I was making a peanut butter sandwhich and I was spreading peanut butter over the bread when in my head i thought "Next time I have a dream, I'll know its a dream because I know the feeling. I will be positive I'm dreaming and will become lucid. I know that feeling so well." And as I was spreading the peanut butter it turned black so it looked weird. And still I did not become lucid. :horse:

There was this dream once, when i listened to a radiostation who talked about how i had so many lucid dreams. Most obvious dreamsign i can remember and still not lucid :D

I had this one dream last night where I was being chased by something, but it was really hard to run (you know that feeling?) Anyway, I remember thinking to myself "It's very common in dreams to feel like you're running through water." Didn't become lucid. :whyohwhy:

I've had dreams before that, if in the dream, you asked me, I would tell you I am dreaming and yet ... I wasn't actually lucid.

I guess I would say that any dream where an abstract creature is chasing me, trying to do me harm and my only response is fear. You would think that I would recognize that abnormality and associate with a dream but sometimes i do not...I usually wake up and wonder why the hamster with a gun didn't make me question if I was dreaming or not but...sometimes you realize your dreaming and sometimes you wake up and realize your dreams are crazy.

Flying. Definately flying. It seemed so normal at the time :shock:

i was in my house because i remember walking my poarch and i didnt make anything of it then when i got inside it was like i was a sherriff i guess and i had a little like jail place and there was like 3 cells in the back and we just got some crazy ass killer guy basically he was wanted or something so were watching him and im like okay watch him i have to go out back real quick so i go to my back yard again i see everything and i dont recognize anything and it looks just how it does durring the day even the water hose was were i remembered it was i dunno it was weird had soo many dream signs yet i didnt recall any of themm..

Dream this morning. Long story short, I was riding in an elevator with no door. Elevator hits the correct floor, and I shoot out the front and hit the wall on the other side of the hall. I note that I'm feeling no pain but should be feeling a lot of pain. I get up and say, "What the hell is this? A first person shooter?".

Didn't become lucid.

Although, a lot of the time I almost subconsciously choose not to become lucid because playing along is so fun sometimes.

Hell yeh haha i had a dream a couple weeks back after just getting rainbow six vegas 2 a pretty bad ass first person shoooter haha i was basically in a death match running from someone with a fuckin assault rifle and i had a pistol i owned him and i was then sniping someone from across the map and was like "wait this is a sniper haha" and i woke up lol

I looked at the clock for reality check, looked away and back.
The numbers were different, but I managed to forget what time it was before, so I went "nvm".

Going on a field trip to canada when I'm in arizona, and the big one:

Arghh, last night I was on a really big pirate ship with a couple friends I knew and my dad (who I have no idea where he is IRL ATM) and we were docked somewhere else in Alaska and everybody on the ship was completely ignoring me. Also, for some reason everybody was smoking crack, even my dad, and one of the pirates gave me an old-fashioned shave with a barbers razor, but was very rough. I looked in a mirror afterwards and my chin was shiny smooth, but much larger and wider than it should be, and the rest of my features were a bit off.

Then a public bus pulled up to a bus stop that just appeared in front of the ship, and, being tired of being ignored by everyone and not included in anything, I got on the bus to ask if it could get me back to Anchorage. Unfortunately, the driver ran to the back of the bus and got off before I could ask and it was so crowded with people that had just appeared that I couldn't hardly move, and I needed to get my stuff before leaving, so I ended up having to pull the back door open and jump off while it was moving, strangely enough along a train track now. So a bus turned into a train in a few seconds, and I still didn't realize it was a dream, and when I hit the ground after jumping, I woke up. So disappointing :P

That one cracked me up.

About a year ago (I was barely studying Lucid Dreaming) I had a dream where I was in some kind of Green Day music video, the colours were only red, white and black. Anyways, I left the Green Day music video into a dream of were I was running through the woods finding (supposedly) my pet Giant BIONICLE :shock:... I can't beleive I thought it was real. Well that's my 1 Cent...

All the time... It seems I can't become lucid when there's a huge dreamsign, like last night. It was the first day of school in my dream, but I'm still on summer vacation...

It seems I can only become lucid on minor things, such as walking down the street without shoes, or jumping over someone's head...

It works that way for me too. Whenever I have a FA and it looks exactly like my room I always remember to do RCs, but when I wake up in some crazy cabin or city apartment and the walls are yellow and my friends are in the room throwing a party, I think nothing of it.

There are many obvious dreamsigns in every one of my dreams. It does not annoy me so much that I miss them. It's pretty easy to overlook obvious strange things going on.

But what annoys me the most is when I do an RC and the RC tells me I'm dreaming, But I still just can't believe it's a dream. My dreams are that realistic that sometimes it's just impossible to comprehend that it's not real.

That usually only happens when I have not been Lucid for a while though.
And once in a while when I just do a random RC it happens too.

Your lucky. My dreams are never that realistic. In the dream they may feel that way, but when I wake up its always more realistic.

I performed a reality check during a dream which failed. I stuck my finger through the palm of my hand and instead of being like, "fuck i'm sleeping" I responded, "Oh that's normal" and went on with my dream.


I SUCK

All the time. I can never seem to remember to do RCs all the time. I do about 1-15 a day depending on if I remember or not. I rely more on the wild technique.

Last night I had this weird dream where I was wandering through a mall with my dad. I haven't seen or heard from my dad in over two years so that's one obvious sign. Well we walked through a large set of doors into a dimly lit room with a table with a bunch of kids sitting on it. There were three large hallways branching out from this room. Each of the hallways quickly faded to pitch black darkness. My dad tried walking into one of the hallways but I knew something was wrong. Somehow I ended up going in one alone and it scared the crap out of me cuz I got lost. I have no idea why I didn't do a RC o.o

I had so many dreams during the summer where I was in school and didn't realize that it was summer time. Fortunately, I had 3 or 4 dreams where I was in school and DID realize I was dreaming.
