      Absolutely fabulous...

I've been on this forum forever but never posted here...had 2 experiences of LD before, but because they were during times of great stress (death of my little daughter) I just didn't give them much credibility. About a week ago, I went out to sleep on the couch (husband making a lot of noise).Fell asleep and woke up several times, all with regular dreams in between...then I fell asleep and had a TOTALLY lucid dream...not even the confusion that comes with them that finally leads you to understand you are dreaming....I sat up on the couch (rain outside in my dream ) and looked up at many ceiling fans above me in the roof that were all pouring water out of them...said to myself "Im dreaming" usually at that time I have to fight not to realize TOO much or I will wake up...but this time, no. For the first time I really thought 'wow, cool" lets go look...and off I went...I guess I didnt really know what I was capable of...(but then even with the LD's before I could only control them to a point before weirdness set in) but I stayed IN the house and just checked out the rooms...all pretty normal ,abnormal with the wonder but limitedness of a beginner...but I went into my bedroom and saw something I didnt want to see (har- think horror movie) and pretty much startled my way out of that one...and then went right back in -I had 3 in succession in all-- Never had this happen before to this extent and would really like to further explore something electronic, like the goggles....

Guess I should have posed the question- has anyone every tried the goggles?

First off, I'm truley sorry to hear about your daughter. I don't even want to think about how I'd feel if I lost mine.

Sounds like you had a good lucid experiance. I've never tried the goggles thing so I can't help you there. Sorry.

      goggles?

I know exactly how it feels to be totally stable inside an LD. Wish i could have it back so i could examine more.

yeah- if you google it there are kits and also plans on how to make them....basically, if I understand it- it's little lcd lights that flash in the corners when there is REM- apparently, you can learn to recognize them and realize you are LD - I hope I haven't messed up that definition too much- but I've never heard from anyone who has used them.

I'd be worried the flashing would keep occuring once I'm lucid.

Yes, but once you're lucid, you can lose lucidity again, so the flashing will help you remember I guess.. too bad I don't have the equipment to make one myself
