Lucid FAs?
This is weird: I think I had a lucid false awakening or some kind of extremely short lucid dream this morning.
I don't remember how I got to it, but I was lying in bed and I turned on the TV with the remote. I was flipping through the channels and noticed the OSD (on-screen display) was different than my TV in real life.
In real life, my TV is a fairly modern set that displays nice-looking smoothed font text and channel number in a box in the corner when you press "display" or change the channel. The box it displays has stuff like "WTBS", "Channel 33", signal strength, and whether or not it's in HD.
In my FA, when I was changing the channels, the TV displayed an older style OSD, an orange late-80s computer text in the corner simply reading "CH 3" or whatever channel I was on. I told myself "wait a minute, my TV doesn't do that..." and realized I was dreaming.
The only thing I did was pretty simple: imagine what the next channel would be. I was on channel 15 when I said to myself the next channel will have an emergency breoadcast system test, to kind of "test" whether or not I was dreaming. When I hit the channel buton again, there was a red-screen EBS test on the TV. Unfortunately, I woke up after that, so I didn't get to go very far with much else.
I did have another FA this morning, involving my alarm clock being broken, but I don't recall that being lucid. I remember seeing the numbers on the one side acting all funny and I thought to myself what a shame this was since this was like the best alarm clock ever. To my relief, I woke up, looked at it, and the display was in proper working order.
Anyone ever have a "lucid FA" or anything like this?

Yep, most of my FAs are lucid. In fact I don't even need to do an RC or anything, I just know I'm dreaming as soon as I get out of bed. Plenty of people do RCs whenever they wake up so that they can become lucid during FAs.

The only times that I've had FAs were after lucid dreams. I never had one until I started lucid dreaming. This isn't the same for everyone, but I still think that there is some kind of association between lucidity and FAs.

My only two lucids so far were both FAs, on the first I just thought I hadn't fallen asleep by now, but tried a reality check to see if I wasn't already dreaming, the second time I just knew I was dreaming

I had one a few days ago where I woke up in bed with a man called "Understanding". That was kind of a give away.

I have them quite frequently-mostly with LDs and it's annoying. I'll be in the middle of something and then everything fades and I'm in my bed again. I know I'm dreaming still, but then I have to start all over!
