Meaningful LD, but how?

So i was adventuring out in the wild with some friends of mine.. we were swimming in a river and having fun, what have you.. so as we are trekking down this riverside path, the sky begins to darken.. so naturally we are looking for a place to hole up for the night.. we come into this house where there are various people from my past, present, and possibly future all partying and laughing, one of those people is a girl that is unfathomably special to me.. as soon as i see her, i see a bolt of electricity fork across the sky in the distance.. this house was cabin style, mostly windows.. anywho, the party begins to die down as people want to get home before the lightning gets too heavy.. at this point im sitting in the living room and she sits next to me and we start to talk. i see another blue arc fly up from one mountain and down over another. as we continue talking, the arc shoots up and down the sky like a dragon, and it fractures into other arcs, spinning across the ground like a tornado of electricity. as i feel more and more emotion when looking at her, the storm moves closer and closer and since the dream was lucid i could actually feel an electrical sensation flowing through my body directly proportional to the distance to the storm.. at this point everyone was asleep and it was only her and i in the living room, and the storm began to arc over the house, until we were in the calm eye of it all, the electricity flowing and flying around the building in circles and nothing but silence inside..
i woke up when the storm's eye passed directly over the top of us both, and the energy i felt came to its peak

i figure the storm represented my affection for her because of how it was getting closer and more powerful as the time i was spending with her became more private, meaning less people in the room. the only thing i cant figure out is... why lightning? any ideas would be awesome!

I guess a somewhat obvious and literal meaning might be down to the fact that all activity in the brain is electrical... Other than that I have little ideas on dream meanings. I try not to dwell on meanings too much as I am very much unconvinced by dream meanings.

well since you know that all activity in the brain is electrical, you must also know that all activity in the brain has a purpose, even while dreaming. our dreams occur because our brain is sifting through the information of the day, decoding everything you saw and experienced and transforming it from the short term storage banks to our long term memory, making it less of what we are directly perceiving and learning to things we have already perceived and already learned.. when you wake up you have an entirely changed long term memory, and therefore an entirely changed view of the world.
what i dreamt about last night changed me profoundly. i had that same electrical feeling all day long, and a locked-in-place feeling of happiness of the kind i have never felt before in my life.
in other words, my most recent memories shaped this dream to be what it was. after my mind had waded through all the extra crap i had thought about, it had all boiled down to that one moment. the only thing that remained on my mind despite all else. that in itself has more maning than all the lucid dreams in the world.

the brain electricity isn't a bad theory, all that would really suggest was that there was a whole ton of activity going on up there haha

I do realise all activity in the brain has a purpose, and I also know that dreams are at least partly for sifting junk information from useful information. However, when people assign seemingly random meanings to things we see in dreams, or things which verge on premonition it's then I become skeptical, hence not really into reading meanings into dreams.

Example, when I first began playing the electric guitar I dreamt that famous people were teaching me how to play it. According to a dream interpretation site it means:

"To see or play an electric guitar in your dream, signifies the power and strength of your passion. You clearly express your feelings to others. Alternatively, it is symbolic of youth and rebellion."

I am sure the fact I was learning to play the instrument I was dreaming of had nothing to do with the fact I dreamt of it.

And in case you were interested, I did look up electricity for you:
"To dream of electricity, symbolizes vigor and life energy. You need to be revitalized."

yeah, that electric guitar dream just sounds like a dream.. desire to learn and ultimate goals of fame are kinda wrapped up into that scenario

that statement about electricity makes sense, cuz like i said, the next day i had a huge smile on my face all day.. so i WAS feeling revitalized, and full of vigor and life energy.
it makes a lot of sense because that pretty much wraps up how i feel when i look at her!

and by the way, the only reason that i believe in dreams like this is because in my youth i would have lucid dreams constantly, and i actually got to the point where i was meditating in the dream world.. able to control the things that happened in my dream
those experiences made me look at the dream world very differently, less like a random chain of images and feelings, and more like another world where we grow and learn and think and feel just like we do in our conscious state

i controlled the lucidity of the dreams by controlling my level of consciousness..
if i liked my dream and wanted it to become more realistic, i wold dive into a deeper sleep, making my dream images become sharper, less consciousness to distract my mind
if i didnt like my dream, i would come back to consciousness slightly, giving me more control over my thoughts than before
i hope that makes sense xD all it takes is practice

i stopped practicing because i had an LD where i was a secret agent at the local mall, and so i thought it would be cool to see how lucid i could make that dream..
bad idea. i got chased by police right after i had reached lucidity and then got shot in the leg. the thing that freaked me out was that i couldn't move my leg in the dream any longer, and it hurt like hell. i had to run/hobble away because i couldnt pull out of the dream fast enough, although i was trying. when i woke up, i tried to stand up not thinking anything of it and my right leg collapsed underneath me, and i still felt a knotlike sensation where the bullet had hit me in the dream.
never played with my dreams since then.

I understand how you feel about lucidity. I'm a natural and it can be a blessing and a curse. I've had the shot and pain thing, but I still continue to play with dreams. My view on it is that I want to see just what is possible out there.
