Alcohols ups and downs on lucid dreams

Everytime i drink alot of booze it always gives me two really good side effect and one really bad.

bad recall

lucid dreams without trying, and very good ones.

here is a bit from the one i not long ago had.

I am at the beach :? and i am involved in a sort of battle, (i think it started somewhere else but it led there) there is me a friend and someone i know and we are battling against about 4 people, two which are hot females :P This battle went on for a while the battle kept leading to different destinations, it was awesome. I also recall driving a convertible in this lucid which was cool.

Anyway in the end we all decided to be friends and go for a drink. :cheers:

As i walk in i see another friend and he joins us. We all just talk about the battle and have laughs, like i was making jokes about how this guy with me was really cool but stupid and he would run out with no cover and just shoot while i took a more 007 approach. I don't recall doing this but i was talking about how i beat the crap out of lots of people jet li style just bragging, it was good. :D great fun.

Then as i am sitting there having a drink of my pint i decide to take a look around the pub which had two big rooms, then to my suprise i see this woman doing this sort of exotic dance with her eyes locked on me smiling. :)
All the people with me were trying to snap me out of it but i was hypnotized by her talents, i got up walked to where she was and i done what needed to be done on one of the seats. :oops:

I had a couple of other of cool lucids as well but but if i went into detsil with those this would become a book. :D

Anyone notice any differences with their lucid dreams when they drink booze?

Well, alcohol definitely shreds your dream recall as well as your REM sleep, but it depends on when you start drinking, when you go to sleep, and when the effects of the alcohol wear off. After they've worn off, you're likely to have a much longer REM period (REM rebound) and that's probably why you have really cool lucids. I've done this before - more or less by accident. I stayed up all night drinking and finally crashed out the next morning around 8:00 AM. I had two crazy, distinct lucids. So it can be pretty awesome, but it usually results from a lot of drinking and little sleep, which isn't exactly healthy.

This is the method for the "rockstar" lucid dreamer. :P

Maybe not healthy but well worth it. The lucids are nearly always awesome, but i do get some crazy ones too like in one of the lucids as soon as i become lucid this woman starts running towards me screaming which wasnt great :eek: but the others were really good. It's like everytime i fall asleep im lucid, very nice.
