Stupid Peer Pressure
So, last night I was dreaming and then I realized that I could breathe underwater and I knew that I was dreaming. So I got out of the pool and told the people standing there that I was dreaming and they were like, "That's not cool." And I was like, "Well, I want to be cool." So I forgot that I was dreaming.

You should have said, "Oh, really?" and telepathically thrown them into the pool.:D Though that might prove a bit hard for you if you're just starting out. I hate it when I forget I'm dreaming during a lucid. You have to get into the state of mind that it's a dream, and sustain that.

I know, I was so mad when I woke up.

Ouch... it is comical, yet annoying when that happens. You can't help but laugh at yourself. :P Eh well, you will get better with practice.
-
Hah! How dissappointing for you. Better luck next time.

Lol, thats a bit shit ^^!!
I find stopping/slowing down the dream and resighting what an LD is, in your head, helps you to gain better control when you speed the dream up again. I've now got into the habit of doing this in all my LDs and it really helps to sustain the length of the dream and the control you have over it.
Hope this helps :D!

Yeah, I remember once I was in an LD. I knew it was lucid but couldn't thinka bout it to much since I was fighting a zombie mob with a friggin boffer sword. I died, and then thought I would try and jump into an other, less hectic LD/. (I was stilla ble to think even though my dream self was dead.) When I tried to go to the next dream, a load screen to the next dream popped up! I'm serious. Anyway, it was annoying at first waiting for the load but actually really good since I was able to collect my thougths and even remember the task of the month. Try going somewhere quite or not really doing anything at the very beginning of an LD to collect your thoughts.
