My first lucid dream! :)
I've discovered LD 1.5 weeks ago. Since then I've been doing regular RC's and keeping a DJ and it payed of way quicker than I thought.
I just had my first Lucid Dream!!
Ok here it goes.
I was at work in a supermarket. This is one of my dream signs but that was not what made me lucid. I had to mop the whole floor. I had done one side of the store when I saw my dad. I yelled something at him. Then I saw another old man I know. I yelled something at him aswell. Now a third guy, my gym teacher from school, started yelling aswell to the old guy. This triggered a domino effect and soon a lot of people were yelling at each other. I was at the chips/crisps department when I accidentally turned the lights off. I felt something crunchy beneath my feet and I realized it was a bag of chips. I fell over and closed my eyes while laying on the bags of chips. I remember that I wasn't supposed to fall asleep at work so I quickly opened my eyes. I was in my bedroom. I thought I had woken up but I did a RC just to be sure. I could breathe through my nose while I was pinching it!!:D I became lucid. It was an amazing and bizarre feeling. I immediately felt the excitement in my belly. I got up but somewhere distant I could feel my real body still lying on my bed. I rubbed my hands and yelled 'Clarity!' and 'Helderheid' (which is clarity in my native language). This didn't work though. Everything was extremely blurry and dark so I couldn't really see anything. I woke up after about 5 seconds.:?
Im so happy that I got my first LD after 1.5 weeks. Would this count as a DILD?

wow - well done! Was it weird feeling your body lying in your bed in the distance? What an odd feeling! Perhaps next time try dream spinning - have you heard of this before?

Yes it was very strange. I guess I was on the brink of waking up.
Dream spinning means just simply spinning around in your dream right? If not, clarify please :)

Yes, from what I am aware, the technique is spinning around very fast and trying to change the dream environment whilst spinning. Concentrate on your 'self' when you are spinning. I have trouble becoming lucid myself but I have tried these in dreams with low levels of lucidity and it does work. You just need to focus really hard on the what you want to see when you stop spinning, and on your spinning self of course. I hope this works for you :)

Ok thanks I'll try it the next time I'll become Lucid :)
I did try to change the enviroment by closing my eyes and hoping to be at a different place when I opened them but instead I woke up.

I know, it's very hard to stay in the dream to begin with. I have real trouble with waking up, often I'll have a really horrible dream involving something bad happening to my husband and i'm like 'I wish I was dreaming I wish I was dreaming' and then I realise I am but because I hate the dream so much I wake up instantly.
I should really calm down and think 'it's not real, - I can do what I like here!' but I can't think that rationally within my dreams!!
