Was she really my Dream Guide?

I have been trying for months to meet my Dream Guide. In the past I unsuccesfully tried asking DC's to show me my dream guide, envisioning my Dream Guide on the other side of a door, etc. None of them worked. I recently read a post on here suggesting that you yell out for the Dream Guide when you are lucid. I was in the middle of a normal dream and became lucid last night. I immedietely yelled out for my Dream Guide. Then I started to wonder if I had made a mistake by yelling out for my before stablizing my dream. It started to sort of blur around the edges. Many times when I have a DILD, I get so excited that the dream ends. I forgot all about rubbing my hands together or spinning during this dream. A tall plump woman in her forties with sandy hair and a ruddy complexion walked into the room. I asked her if she was my Dream Guide and she said yes. I let loose with a bunch of questions that I have been saving for this moment. Why do I smoke, why do I over/undereat, etc? She looked at me and said, "Because I want you to." It makes me wonder if she really is my Dream Guide? I have read many posts on Dream Guides and people have almost always said that Dream Guides are the opposite sex. (I am a woman.) I was actually expecting an older male, father figure type of Dream Guide. Other people have also mentioned that their Dream Guides are loving, concerned, caring, etc. Mine seemed indifferent and almost condescending in the tone of voice she used with me. Then I asked her if she had any tips to improve my lucidity. Then I woke up. So if anyone has any thoughts on my experience, I would appreciate hearing them!

      Goodnight and Happy Dreams everyone!

Doesn't sound like it, your guide is supposed to feel natural, calming, and be helpful. Also typically it takes more than one encounter to be sure of your dream guide. I'd say just stick with it and if you run into the character from the dream you mentioned, see if you can get the lady to show her cards.

People have different definitions of what a dream guide is. Personally I think what a DC says and does is up to you and your brain.

In my experience dreams aren't about giving you direct info from a reoccurring character. They are random and cryptic and most of what I learn is through raw emotion.
