When DCs do RCs

A few nights ago in a LD I was with my family. They were all getting ready to go to church, but I decided to leave. Two of my sisters saw me opening the window. "Hey you can't leave," they yelled at me.
"Yes I can," I told them. "This is dream. I'll prove it to you." So I did the nose-pinch RC. They leaned close, listening to me breathe.
"How are you doing that," my younger sister demanded.
"Easy, it is a dream."
So she plugged her nose and found that she could breathe with her mouth closed, too! "Hey, I'm dreaming too," she exclaimed.
Then I turned and leaped out the window.

Have any of you ever had a DC RC in one of your LDs too?

I sure haven't, but that sounds kick ass. Did you say anything to her when you woke up?

In one of my Ld's, I was at a party with loadsa DC's. It was a low level LD though, as for the most part I went round trying to get everyone else there to realise they were dreaming...Anyways, I tried getting em to do the nose pinch RC, but what I was saying just seemed to confuse them, and they couldn't quite grasp the idea of pinching their nose shut and trying to breathe. Everyone was very reluctant to do it, which was annoying at the time. One of my DC's kinda explained this though, when I told him it was a dream he replied 'I know, but I don't want to realise it!' Kinda summed up the whole reluctant RC thing

LOL!

I haven't talked to my sisters since this dream, we live in different cities. The dream was a pretty normal LD for me -- I became convinced I had to reach some nonsense goal (getting to the beach). I didn't know why, and even though I was fully aware it was a dream, I still thought this goal was worth working toward. :P

I personally haven't, or at least not that I can recall off the top of my head. But my mom, who also LDs, has told me a lot of stories about this! In one, she was driving and realized it was a dream. She looks at her hand, and had a ton of fingers, so she looked up all excited yelling that she was lucid. She looked across the street and saw a trucker sitting up in his cab, and he was totally excited too. He held up his hand, and he had extra fingers, also. Then his hand started to grow bigger and bigger, she said like a huge Mickey Mouse glove :tongue:
Then, apparently I am a recurring dream sign for her in that I'm also there telling her to do reality checks and that she's dreaming, but whenever my dream self tries to push my finger through my palm it doesn't work, haha

I sometimes wonder what might happen if I told some of the people who are recurring DCs in my dreams about some of the adventures we've had. The thing is most of them are from my high school years and we weren't friends at the time. I imagine they'd think I'm crazy!

I had a few dreams where DCs talk about lucid dreaming and reality checking, but something always distracted me before I could see them try one.:roll:

i hate it when it happens...but my DC's know like everything....it is a bit creepy...they are said one time "it took you this long to get lucid?" that shocked me....they are werid

that'd be pretty trippy if a DC did an RC, and then they awaken, and YOU turn into their DC, and then they wake up the following morning in your body, and you have to watch them live your life....

Lucky you, all my DC always demand me to do something as the RC, they all think if its true, then they don't want to play with their bodies <.<

Wow that's amazing! When ever i would tell my dcs at least when i was a kid that they were figments of my imagination, they would either tickle or get really mad and act kind of crazy. I hardly ever talk to my dcs, the times i do talk to my dcs, it would either end in an argument or if they were femal dcs it would either end up with me telling them how i feel or we would cuddle, or just walk around together. I can't ever get my dcs to do rcs, they most of the time ignore me. You gave me an idea next time i remember to do an rc and become lucid i'm going to find a dc and say something like, i hope you know that this is really a dream.

I had a dream not too long ago that there was this drug that was a clear glowing blue liquid, and it was intended to make DCs lucid. The interesting thing was, they all thought it was their dream, and didnt really talk about it... it became troublesome when my dream cops figured out how to utilize this drug to catch people... like merging with their cars for instance.
It was pretty awesome though, my DCs were using it at this party... hahaha im sure you can imagine

Once the blue glowing liquid was in a test tube. When I drank it (it tasted like berries and cotton candy) I turned into a super hero! I could do anything I could think of. I shot flames from my fingers, I levitated, I walked through walls, etc.

Another time the blue glowing liquid was in a clear glass. A DC drank it and turned into a supernatural. They looked the same, but had superpowers.

Wow, haha, mine just became lucid and had lucid abilities.
Which was interesting, because they were drunk and stoned and had nothing very imaginative to do

Damn, this is something I try a lot but haven't succeeded in. So far every DC I've asked to do a RC, or demonstrated an RC to has become confused. Or just 'takes my word for it' and never performs and RC themselves. I can get them to admit or believe that it is a dream, but not to perform any of the lucid abilities I show them are possible.
