My WILDs lead to FAs ALL THE DAMN TIME

Seriously. I think I might be getting somewhere with WILD, but not where I want to go!

This morning I was visualizing something about school. It turned into me staring at the shelf at the end of my bed with some kind of paper on it. Then, someone from school appears next to me and goes on and on about their favorite band.

But here's the thing: I didn't get lucid! It turned out to be an FA, as I was in my room. This is like the second time this happened!

How do I maintain that "awareness" while entering the dreamstate?

What I have done is do RCs while I am in bed or in my bedroom. This has made it to where everytime I have a FA I just know I am dreaming still. Also if you are always in your room with FA then I would try to always look around your room and just be aware how it looks and how it feels in RL.

Well then this is not a lucid you are talking about. Just do RCs and catch the FAs though!

Every single one of my WILDs originate from where I was sleeping. It's most probably because that was the last thing you saw before going to sleep, and you still know that you're in your bed.

The thing that makes WILD successful or not is whether or not you stay aware from the time you lay down, past the hypnagogic imagery, and then on into a dream. If you are able to keep yourself aware throughout all 3 of these phases then you will land yourself a Lucid Dream.

Now if you would like a suggestion on how to keep yourself aware thorughout these phases I would suggest thinking about something that you can think about for a long time. Ideally this is the same as counting sheep. By counting sheep your keeping your mind aware throughout all phases landing a lucid dream.
