"DreamGuide" told me they are from DV

First off, I'd like to start by saying that I don't believe in Dream Guides. But, the dream I had today was so vivid and weird, that I thought I'd share it with you all. This is a long dream, but that is because I remember every detail in my dreams.

It started out with me "waking up" in my bedroom (false awakening). The sky was very dark, so I went back to sleep. This happened several times. Finally, although the sky was still dark, I suspected it was a lucid. I thought about jumping out the window and seeing if I flew, but I still wasn't 100% sure if this was a dream. Then, I shouted "sunlight!" to try to make the sky lighter, and it didn't work.

I cautiously stepped outside in my pajamas, seeing as it was so dark and I still was not sure if this was a dream or not. Finally, an oddity at the gas station I live next to (I live next to one in real life) made me realize I was dreaming. So, I flew up into the night sky and enjoyed flying around for a bit while I thought about what I wanted to do in my lucid.

I swooped down to a grassy park behind my house. There were bleachers there, and people sitting on them. I noticed a chubby woman with short graying blonde hair. For some reason, I asked her if she was my dream guide. She replied, "Yes." Then I asked her if she ever went to DreamViews before. She replied, "Yes, but I don't go there much anymore." Curious, I then asked, "What is your username there?" and she said, "K_ _" (It was something with a K at the beginning and 2 other letters. After this dream, I actually browsed through the "K" names on DreamViews and found people with those usernames but they both only posted like two times).

Then I asked the "dream guide" how she finds people in her dreams. She said "Easy, I just draw them." Then, she made an outline of a person in the air with her finger, and there was a person there. I tried drawing Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy and was successful - he appeared! (I won't mention the part of the dream involving Pete).

The "dream guide" then changed appearances. She was now a tall, thin woman that looked to be about in her 30's, with permed brown hair and red highlights. She actually reminded me of some actress. I told this newly changed dream guide that "I am a Christian, I don't believe in this stuff, and I'm not going to." Suddenly, the "dream guide" grabbed my wrist and twisted it a bit, and it actually hurt. She said something like "Don't you want to have lucid dreams?" I said, "Yes..." I was actually fearful and thought it best to agree with the "dream guide," and she let my hand go.

Later on in the dream, after the part involving Pete Wentz, I was walking down a street with a cobbled road (though it had modern stores) and saw my "dream guide" standing in an alley smiling. I followed her through the alley and said, "Thank you for helping me have this lucid!" (I'm not sure why I said "Thank you," I was actually a bit fearful of her) She said, "You're welcome." Then we went to this store leading out from the alley and I think she was the cashier/card dealer? She was shuffling playing cards and there were people drinking coffee.

The dream ended with a few more false awakenings like from the beginning of the dream, before I finally woke up.

Well, I just thought I'd share with you all, and I'd love to hear your opinions/thoughts on what I experienced.

That is a very interesting story.
I too do not believe in "shared dreaming" or "dreamwalkers", but i have often met DCs that were much more aware of what was going on, and much more, shall we say, lucidly capable. Usually such characters are manifestations of my subconscious mind, and, frustratingly enough, usually my nemesis, not helping me. This is not always the case though.
Your "dream guide", as you might call it, is probably created by your subconscious mind to help you fufill a desire you have, such as to have more control over your dreams. The fact that they claimed to be a dreamviews member is irrelevant- most likely due to spending time on Dreamviews. I've had dreams, and even feverish hallucinations, where i connected to people i knew and was able to identify them by AOL screennames and the like. But there was no real contact, and they experienced nothing of the sort in correlation. It was a result of spending large amounts of time online and talking to said people.

Glad you enjoyed reading my LD. I agree, it is probably just my subconcious and I do not believe it is someone from DV, but I was just like "Woah" when I first woke up and went over the dream in my head.

Me being a Christian I also believe that evil forces can exist in dreams, but that is another story.

      LOL!! Gotcha!

That's pretty cool that she told you to "draw" who you wanted and it worked! I'm going to have to try that!

Perhaps this new DG was trying to tell you that if you don't believe in lucid dreams.. then you won't have them anymore.

There's nothing wrong with thanking anyone or anything you thought might help you get/stay lucid!!

Thank you for the analysis, Clairity! I honestly have no idea where the drawing thing came from - I usually find DCs by going around knocking on doors haha.

The way the DC grabbed my wrist was freaky I do have to admit. This was only the second lucid, or any dream for that matter, that I have experienced real pain in.

And supreme - no Ashlee wasn't there lol. I actually don't know why I chose Pete. I have this thing about not crushing on any guy that is married - whether celebrity or not lol. At any rate, I guess it was just a dream.

Well Pete is pretty cute! And a dream is a dream! I wish I could make
Robbie Williams show up in a LD!!!! I never really tried it yet though.
I'd be screaming 'clarity' left and right to make sure I don't wake up too
soon that's for sure! lol Once he's there though, everything's gonna go
my way!! Robbie's single as well so no need to feel guilty in the slightest.
It reminds me of that episode of 'king of queens' where Doug had to kill
Carrie off in his dreams first before he could indulge in any fantasy with
      other women in the dreams.
I am also like you and would never ever get involved with a married man!
It's hard enough when they are split-up with their ex's.....but all bets are off
      in me dreams!!

It's strange, whenever I meet a character in my dream has knowledge of the dream or that I am lucid, they seem to get a little creepier.

The other night my friend cut me with a machete in a dream by accident, and before I woke up I became lucid, however my arm started to hurt and I woke up. I'd been sleeping on my arm and it had gone numb and was hurting a little.

I don't believe in other people's dreams being connected.

I do believe in APs, but that's a different story.

I'm mostly afraid of my DC's because I know the extent of my mind, and it's sometimes a bit...morbid. Eh. I just try to remind myself that anything that seems to be alive is something that I created and that I can hopefully fight off if I need to.

      Sounds like an interesting experience.

I personally believe in dream guides to some extent. I believe that when we read and hear about dream guides, we subconsciously muster up ideas and beliefs about them and possibly how we want them to be, so eventually they show up in our dreams as simply manifestations of our consciousness. They end up being more aware, like you, probably because that's how we subconsciously perceive them to be. And because they are a manifestation of your subconscious, they're going to know a lot about you. And because they're so 'aware', they're going to be able to speak to you logically about things.

I would like to meet my dream guide one day, whatever he/she/it may be. I've looked for them in my dreams before but haven't had much success yet. We'll see what happens.

In your next lucid you should try to contact her again and have a conversation about something complicated and see how it turns out.

The way you wrote it, your reality check is jumping out of the window? Never do that if you aren't sure that you're dreaming.
