My first WILD, + a question
I had the day off school today cos i got a really bad throat and my head is just spinning so I've been reading DV all day. I just went downstairs and decided to have a nap on my sofa and try to go lucid through WILD for the first time.
I was lying down for quite a while then my head felt very heavy and my body kinda froze. I thought I heard someone enter my house and I heard a man's voice next to me which made me think that I was starting to enter lucidity. After lying for a while longer my arms just seemed to lift over my head and I wanted to open my eyes and see why but I decided not to, incase I lost concentration. However, I opened my eyes slightly and saw one of my arms infront of me. I closed them again and put my arms on my chest.
I then had a really real dream about still lying on the same sofa and looking at the tv in the room, seeing a blue creature on the screen.
I then remember waking up wiht my two friends next to me and I told them that I think I had a lucid dream about the Tv being on. They just looked at me. (I thought this was all real and I only realised it wasnt until I REALLY woke up and realised that my friends arent even around at all.) I then (in the dream with friends) lied back down and had a dream about being in a jail place and on the phone to some guy who stole something off me.
I then suddenly woke up. I thought back to when my arms lifted up and I remember seeing my arm wearing a black zip up top, however, I am wearing a cream fleece! I must have been lucid and then I remember about when I woke up with friends. I was kicking myself soo much for not realising I was dreaming.
When I had the lifting arms I wasnt sure whether or not to open eyes or not. This leads onto my question:
When going for a WILD when do you know when to open your eyes? ( I have had normal lucid dreams whilst sleeping and I seem to just appear in the dream and cant remember how I got there and when. )
Does anyone use these subject boxes? or is it just me?
Well, first of all, Congrats! Good job on almost WILDing. Keep working.
Now, to answer your question. After a while, you just get a feel for it, but for now, your just going to have to take chances. It's alot worse when you think your dreaming and your not, then to think your not really dreaming and you actually are.
So my advice, would be that after you feel the heaviness feeling you descibed, keep trying to sense when your in the dreams. And if you can't tell, open your eyes and do a reality check. This will also form a good habit of Reality checks.
hope this helps. Cheers!
