      Hearing Songs

Okay, so a month ago when I was falling into SP, I was hearing the song Hit Me Baby One More Time seriously loud in my head. I could hear the lyrics clearly like if I was listening to it on the radio. (Thing is, I truly hate that song and I don't think to have heard it in about a year.) I was so freak out, that I woke up.
I think it was two days later, I found a new way to concentrate while in SP. It was to count. When it eventually happened later that night, I was counting and then out of the random, I was hearing the song Paralyser (which I don't like). It was like the same think has the other time, but I didn't woke up. I waiting until the ''vibrations'' ended and the colors of my wall slowly turning black and the song faded away. I just laid there completely aware that I was conscious and I told myself "That's it?" and decided to wake up.
It never happened to me again (hearing songs while SP), but I want to ask why I hear songs, and why I hear only songs I truly hate and songs I almost never heard. Also, did it happen to you?

Oh man I remember hearing songs in my dreams. I heard some kind of remixed song of "Unknown Soldier" by Breaking Benjamin and it was awesome...I wish I could remember the lyrics to it.

If you hate hearing lame songs in SP than maybe you should put on some songs you like before attempting SP.

This would be a cool idea, see if they effect the LD...I'm not sure if I can fall asleep with music playing though

Try some really mellow music such as the first Gorillaz album. That's what I used for the longest time with SP. Or Pink Floyd, I have had some fun with that stuff. Though with Pink Floyd you have to be careful, they have a few creepy songs. As with Gorillaz first album there was only one problematic track, M1 A1. That song was freaking creepy! It repeats, "Hello?! Is anyone there?!" over and over in a really disturbing voice. If anyone has any other suggestions for good dream music I am very interested.

Actually, now that I think of it, there are two..one is Mountain Song by the Allman Brothers, its a 30+ minute jam song that is pretty chill...also Aqueous Transmission by Incubus.

I used to have this happen as a kid. I would not be able to go to sleep. I would cry and be angry that when ever i tired to go to bed, all i heard was LOUD music. I finally made it stop in middle school. I forget how though. Sometimes it comes, but not as often as before.

Thanks for all your ideas! I don't really hear music nowadays; I guess I freak myself out of it…
