Accomplished a 10 minute Lucid Dream!
I have to say, I was pretty excited when I took a nap today. All day I was thinking about having a lucid dream and I have been having them recently, like back to back to back, and they have only been lasting for like 20-30 seconds and they are not very clear/detailed. But earlier I had one that was so vivid that I just enjoyed flying around. I have not had the time/experience yet to be able to change my scenery or anything thing like that. Once a year or more ago I made someone appear but I forgot who it was.
I forgot how the dream started, and I am not really sure when I became lucid but I think my trigger to become lucid is that I start flying somehow. In each one of my lucid dreams lately I have been flying and it usually happens when I'm running or driving a car over a hill and it doesn't stick to the ground.
Lucid Dream :
I was flying in the air when I ran into this experimental military jet that was a robot/remotely controlled. It kept doing aerial acrobatics and I kept charging after it. I wasn't on anything this time or holding on to another object like I usually do while flying it was just be all by myself. So I kept following this plane around and I finally got close enough to it to touch it. So I wrestled with it. Then I knocked it out of place and decided to see how far I could throw it.
Well I guess the military didn't like that one because later in the dream when I wasn't so lucid I started falling out of the sky and eventually I landed. But this time I had a pillow with me, it was a long tubular pillow. It could hover on it's own so I wrapped around it. So I was in a restricted area with fences around the area and then I saw two guard dogs racing after me, but they had to make it around the fence first which was open on the end. So I started running and jumping holding on to my pillow and eventually I started floating.
Then there was a scene change, I wasn't aware I was dreaming at this point but I started eating food, I ate mexican food and pizza, and I ate it both with ragu and ranch dressing lol.
Then I remember meeting someone I thought was kind of attractive and being embarrassed by it for some reason and then later one when I became lucid again I was in a car that looked like a Porsche Carrera GT. I even stopped to look at it when I got out. I'm like yea I'm definately driving this again. It was one of the best feelings, almost as exciting as flying. So I pulled out of the parking lot with a car that looked like a Viper and some other cars like Vettes I think and other sports cars. I started drifting on accident and the front of my car was within 1cm of hitting other parked cars - I remember turning the wheel all the way to the right then I pulled out onto the street - It was a large bump and I got air and I started nose diving towards the road and I'm like OH NO, so I'm like FLY... uh THRUSTERS! and my car started acting like a hovering jet! and I even got a cool modified steering wheel. I started moving it around and the car moved around in a hover ... then I made it go forward and eventually I lost the car.
This is when I started flying on top of some object and I was flying over this city - except that it was half cityscape and half inside of a mall. There was a part in the center of it all that I could not see below the board or whatever I was on, so I kept circling around trying to look and finally I could but it took a lot of effort. Then I started flying lower where there were people and books and I remember passing one book and I tried to see if I could read it and remember the name of the book this time and I did! It said Snugglefly on it. I think it was a childrens book. anyways.
After that I ran into my dad and I asked him if he was dreaming too, I said something like are you having a lucid dream too? I think he said no at first but then said yea but he was acting kind of pissy - he was working on something and his eyes were kind of red. Then I went into this other room and there was a mini toy flying plane and I grabbed it and I started flying with it and I made it turn directions and all of that. So I decided to go take it back into where my dad was and show it to him but it melted into clay and he didn't seem too impressed.
Then later I ran into my sister, this was after I couldn't fly anymore but I could jump long distances and hover for a short period of time. I saw another lady doing the same thing. My sister was sitting down at a desk and I asked her if she was dreaming and she said no. In fact in real life she is out with a friend right now, but in the dream I thought maybe it was a shared dream. I asked her what she was doing and she said she was taking a test.
Anyways, usually when I stop flying that's a signal that the dream is almost over and sure enough it started to end. But all in all I had about 10 minutes of lucid dreaming with a few breaks of lucidity in between but I regained it back. Most of the time was spent flying. I would like to make out with someone in a dream but I think I would get too excited and wake up - it's happened before.
Well I am about to go back to sleep again so maybe I will have another lucid dream. If so I will be sure to share the experience.
Btw I didn't use any techniques or anything like that - I did however stay up all night and went to sleep in the morning for a little while and then woke up and took a nap later. So that might have had something to do with it.
Usually when sleep deprived and you go to sleep you have better dreams, at least in my case.
