Smile Dream Reentry - Works like a charm

So, I've been in a LD where I'm on my school bus and my alarm goes off (6:30). This kinda bothered me since I don't like waking up in the middle of dreams so I thought back to a thread I read on these forums. It basically said if you wake up after a dream you should try not to move, close your eyes and just imagine everything where you left off.

Hell, I wasn't expecting ANYTHING to happen but before I knew it I was back in my dream, as lucid as I was before! I can't believe how fast this was. Too bad I just turned my head to the side to smack the snooze button with my temple. I have a small digital alarm I keep next to the pillow (might come in handy for FAs, me thinks). I didn't get to do much more in my dream than wonder what I should to next.

      Share your experiences with this.

      Edit: Oh whoops, wrong section.

What technique did you use if any? And was this a past dream that you reentered?

      Obviously..?
And to be more on topic, I have tried re-entering a non lucid dream before but I just didin't have the concentration at the time so I failed at succeeding.

Interesting. That's happened to me a few times too. Waking up, reflecting on the previous lucid dream then falling asleep again. Somehow I'd returned to the same lucid dream. One night it happened 2 times .. returning to the same dream.

It works well, but be sure you don't forget the first half of the dream.

The technique is called DEILD (Tutorial). You can do this as many times as you want but each time you risk loosing a little lucidity if not all (I think). I tried doing it again after waking but I couldn't rest my eyes so I got up.

My dream recall isn't so great in the mornings since I'm pretty much on autopilot until the water hits my face. During the day I'll come to remember bits and pieces until I feel I've pieced together the whole thing.
