Now, I know there are other ways to have lucid dreams than just
recognizing dreamsigns, but in all four of my lucid dreams I
simply spontaneously realized I was dreaming. Anyone had similar
experiences?

Every mornin' :)
Nope, I dont know how lol cause I dont enter a dream aware which kinda sucks :(
Only a few times when I've been extremely enthusiastic about lucid dreaming or dreams in general for whatever reasons.
During these times I'll become alot more aware than I usually would be, and notice almost instantly when something weird is going on(I'm dreaming).
yepp. Whenever I read something about LD and how amazing it is (for example the book "dreamrider") i get excited about it and when im dreaming, i ask myself "is this a dream" and become lucid
but its not something you can depend on all the time
Most of my LDs are because of this. It feels like your conscious mind just takes over the subconscious.
I almost always know that I'm dreaming because of the feeling I get before I drift into deep sleep.
I get like a sucking, pulling sensation around the center of my forehead. When that happens and I find myself "awake" or walking around in a dream. I stop to feel (I don't always need to do it though). If I can feel my body laying down but my mind is awake I know I'm in a dream.
This happens to me, but imagine instead of just the center of the forehead getting a feeling of pulling and instead your whole body feels as if is being pulled into a dream. It is awesome. It hasn't happened to me in a while, but I can't wait until it does again!:boogie:
That's actually happened to me too but I don't remember the last time I've experienced the whole body thing. The whole body thing is more like falling though and I can literally feel my body jerk or bounce (like my body bouncing on the bed, the way it does when you jump on it). When I get the body pull I get a difference experience, the dreams are different.
I think mine is somewhat different than yours. I feel as if I am being pulled forward or maybe even flying forward. It's almost like am amusement ride. I don't bounce or jerk at all like you do and it definitely isn't a "falling through" feeling. Mine is actually pretty smooth and it is really hard to explain. It could kind of be described as if you were being sucked forward by a huge vacuum cleaner or something.
I only become lucid like this without dreamsigns or reality checks. I only do the reality check once I become aware and already know that I'm asleep.
I just wish it would happen more often!!!!!!
MY only lucid dream that I remember and that was accidential involved me saying that I was dreaming right off the bat. I still did the hand RC and got static hands though, lol :)
