Not Sure if This is LD

Hi,

One time I read an article on-line about a book called 23 Minutes in Hell. One can read about it on Amazon. So I had the bright idea of wanting to experience this as well. In retrospect, I think I acted like an idiot for doing so. I believe in hell and really wish not to go through the same experience Bill Wiese did.

So I laid down on the floor and closed my eyes. After a short moment, I felt as if my body dropped through the floor. But then, I felt as if someone grabbed me by my chest and lifted me back up, saying, "It is not your time." I heard the voice but it was more like coming from within.

I think God was trying to tell me that, perhaps its not my fate and is not wise to meddle in such things. =\

If you're religious, this is a good conclusion. However, I think you may have been experiencing Sleep Paralysis, which sometimes happens when you go from waking to sleep. It happens because your body goes to sleep before your mind. In this stage, you also sometimes get hypnagogia, which are visuals, audio, and sometimes feelings that aren't really there. It almost sounds to me like you were in a WILD. If you give me a second, I can find a link for you.

Interesting! I think I have had hypnogogia before. I heard a door slam and woke up, and nothing was there. (Y'know, its amazing how easily the mind and emotions plays tricks on you. =P)

Mattofla: I can't remember exactly, but I _think_ it was long enough to get relaxed, control my breathing, and clear my mind. Mebbe 3-5 minutes?

A slamming door is a common thing to hear. There's also conversations, doorbells ringing, people saying your name, an otherworldly voice talking to you, beeping. I've even heard people say they've heard screaming, laughing, nails scraping against a chalkboard. I've always been kind of scared to go into SP, though I've heard that makes it worse. :eek:

Hmm, I don't know if 3-5 minutes is long enough for intense Hallucinations to start.

Might as well join me on my WILD journey then! I tried my first two WILD's this morning starting at 6:00. I had some inconclusive results. I had a dream where it seems I was almost thrust in. I did a reality check and found out I was dreaming. The only reason I question if it was really a WILD was because I wasn't instantly lucid. I also don't remember if it happened when I tried the WILD, or before. I hope it was because of the WILD though. It would be a good discovery and it would mean that I'll have access to WILD over the summer.
