Lucid Dreaming Help Requested

Ok before I get in to detail on my question I guess I should give you a little background on me.

I beleive when I was about 4 or 5 I had my first Lucid Dream(not that I knew that is what it was called then:roll:),I found it wierd that I knew how to control myself in my dream but I did not think much of it then.The dream involved me chasing after a silouette of a character from the Dr.Seus movies around my room because it had stolen my new rain coat my parents bought for me.The first real Lucid experience I had was jumping of my balconey(I lived in an apartment so it was in my dream) to chase after the character.It felt as though I was gliding towards the ground though and (there was a wind effect in the background and funky music) but before I hit the ground I reappeared in my living room where the DC was.But before I could grab it he jumped into the walls and disappeared.I awoke after that and was fully aware of it and began to cry thinking the dream was real and my parents came and comforted me and reassured me it was just a dream.Afterwards I went back to bed at thought about the dream I had and realized how amazing the experience actually was.From then on I have been having Lucid dreams and became very interested in it which brought me to this site :boogie:.

I am now 15 and the wierd thing about my Lucid Dreams is that I am able to control my body perfectly and sometimes other things but for some odd reason I find it hard to have complete control of things in my dream such as magic,objects,flying,shapeshifting(which I have done perfectly one time) etc.I feel like it is just doubt and I have been doing my research on this site for some time but to no avail nothing spectacular :shock:.Is there any tips you guys could give as to how to bypass this wall of doubt or attachment in my mind :)?

just understand that when you become lucid, everything is made up of your imagination...you are in full control and there is nothing holding you back.. anything is possible!

Thanks for the tip but sometimes I try yelling that phrase in my dream or something along those lines but it's like my brain already knows im doubting myself inside lol.But I will try something different tonight, wish me luck :).

Perhaps you have deep-rooted doubt that more is possible. So, maybe try little things first. Take small steps. Climb up on something high and jump off a few times. If you're gliding, which is not at all realistic, then why not fly?
