Lucid Dream 3 Days After Discovering This Site

I've had 2 or 3 lucid dreams before, but this was the longest and with the most customization. I found this site about 3 days ago when I couldn't sleep one night. I read the whole thing and began doing reality checks throughout the day. Guess it worked.

My dream started out with my girlfriend and I walking through a neighborhood with one of my friends. I saw zooming in on his head through a scope then then he was shot (I saw Predator 2 last night). It was terrible. Later I was in my yard at my old house and thats when I realized I was dreaming. I don't know what set it off, I just knew. So I dropped whatever was going on and decided to jump up into the air and fly to a beautiful beach. While I was flying, I was trying to visulaize a beautiful beach, but I couldn't get a good picture. When I got there, it was about 10 feet wide, between 2 ugly buildings, there was an old guy swimming, and 2 kids playing ping pong in the middle of the water. I waded for a second, but decided it should be better. I went onto the sand and tried dream spinning, but I still couldn't focus on anything except for how fast I was spinning, so the beach was the same when I stopped. I then flew to a school and just followed a group of my friends around jumping off the walls and flipping and spinning and flying around. I slowly lost it as I woke up, but it was really fun.

Wow thats sweet. That picture of the beach with the buildings and the old guy and the kids playing ping-pong would make a sweet picture or poem. do you mind if I do so art with that as the insperation? (I wont sell or publish it) I've had a bit of trouble dreamspinning too. in my last dream I remembered this and just thought of exuses to get from one location to the other. one time I just created a door in the middle of a table and walked through it. another time I told this guy to bring me my horse (I was the king and he was a peasent) and I just rode away to another location.

lol, I bet if I tried to get a peasant to get me a horse I'd wind up going along all Monty-Python style complete with coconuts. My DCs don't like to cooperate how I want them to. Meh. Anyway, try the door technique, I've always found it more successful then spinning. 'Course, I'm not that great at spinning...usually, when I try I wind up on my face in the dirt. Bleah. Also, try doing things spontaneously in LDs, since if you do something the moment you think of it without going into further thought, your mind usually won't have time to do anything but what you want it to. :D Happy dreaming!

You're welcome to use any part of that for artwork as long as I get to see when it's done. : ) I'll have to try a door next time. I was able to fly to my next location, so it wasn't too big a deal. Just no beach that time.
