      Very Vivid LD (+new member)

I have been reading some things on this forum for a while after being reminded about LDing after watching a film called Waking Life. Anyway the other night after attempting to WILD I had a very vivid lucid dream.

The dream began in an big rectangle shaped tent with really dim lighting. Inside the tent there was a collection of old gadgets, I was playing with this antique looking clock, with old style numerals and the detail of the hands was really intricate. Then this woman comes over and starts arguing with me, asking why I was playing with the clock, as the argument intensifies I leave the tent and walk into the street, at which point I suddenly become lucid. I very clearly remember looking at the brick work on the walls around me at the same time as realizing i was in a dream, but it was just like being awake the level of detail! The town i was in was really beautiful medevil style with cobbled roads. It was quite dark at the time, and then i decided to fly up on top of one of the buildings and look around. The view was so intensely amazing, very similar to landscapes produced on computers made to trip people out! there were these strange elephant like creatures running to the sun in the distance and I wanted to fly towards them but i was begging to slip out of the dream. I looked at my hands in order to stabilize the dream. but my hands looked like dolphin flippers, which really freaked me out and i soon woke up!

Thankyou for reading this if you did, I just really needed to tell somebody, and dont think my friends want to hear me blabbing on about dreams!

That's really awesome! I can also recall having a very vivid lucid dream where I ended up in a vivid, beautiful dream world that sounds similar to yours. I only vaguely remember the details now, but I recall cobbled streets, a deep, dark blue/purple sky, medieval buildings (that looked new, not old). I went to an outdoor cafe type thing where people were sitting. I sat next to a guy and asked him if he knew where we were. He said "I have no idea". The dream ended shortly after, unfortunately!

to Dream Views Jester and congratulations on your first WILD! Typically, if you can familiarize yourself with how it "felt" to go into this state, that makes it slightly easier to repeat the process. Continue on and good luck to you.

Thanks for all the replys! The funny thing is that I'm not sure that I did successfully WILD because i was dreaming before I became lucid. However the mental state that i reached in my attempt to WILD must have helped me become lucid during my dream. I have been lucid many times before, but have only recently relised the potential of controlling these dreams!
