      lucid - finding myself dead

      hi

it's been a long time since i visited this forum, life has been to busy lately to be into lucid dreaming, but i still get one once a month, but there definitly not near as good or long as they used to be...

anyway, last night i had a lucid dream where i found my dead body... it was pretty short but it did shake me up a bit...

      part 1 - non lucid
im laying around in my student dorm, except it isn't my room in real life but i know it is in the dream... i wake up in this dorm and i go to the roof of my building... i see that across the street is a glass house, from telenet (= an internet company in my country...) there's a woman in it and she's talking about telenet trough a microphone,i think to myself great,i'm fucked,i'm living across a commercial building in wich they will be shouting consumer related question across the street every hour of the day...

      part 2 - lucid
so i'm in the void... not seeing anything...
there's hands around my feet wich are dragging me around... each time they drag me and after a few second i give em a little kick wich free's me from their grip for 2 or 3 seconds, after that they grab me and drag me back again....
ofcourse i'm lucid while this is happening and i'm enjoying it and it's been going on for a while...

but this one time i kick myself free and bam,i'm standing in the student dorm to wich i referred in part 1 of the dream....

lots of things go trough my head... thinking about flying and sex...

so i dive towards my wall, wanting to fly trough it,but i get stopped in mid air,i'm hanging in the air with my hand sticking trough the wall...
i'm suprised by this and i'm waving my hand trough the wall....

then i turn around and i see myself laying naked on the floor in some kind of bath tube filled with water, but it was much lower then a real bath tube, only few inches high....

i'm thinking : that's not me being dead, thats not me being dead, thats not me being dead...
i kneel besides my body wich is laying on it's side, with it's back towards me...
as i kneel i see that my mouth is in the water...
i think that when i'm gonna flip over my body it will couch up water and live...
but that doesn't happen,i just flip over my lifeless body...

after this i think i got trown back into the void.... but i woke myself up immediadly when i got there....

      so,any thoughts on this??
don't know if this is the right section since i'm kinde looking for a dream interpretation of a lucid dream....

anyway i'd like to hear what you guys think about this one...

and i'm also gonna try to make up some time and get back into lucid dreaming now...

      greetings

If you see a dead body and think about it being your dead body, it's gonna be it. I've read about this and experienced it, in dreams your fears and expectations show up, not always the way you want them to. It's best to be a neutral observer of your dream. After all, it's a creation of your mind, so any thought u get might affect it. Just like the Stay Puff Marshmellow Man. Even if you get just a guess, it's gonna make an influence. And it's hard not to think about anything while observing. But it actually makes more sense to see your dead body than your living body. Think about it, meeting yourself in a dream? That could rupture the very fabric of time and space and destroy all the universes of the megaverse in the ultraverse I find it more disturbing that I never find my body when I succeed in a lucid dream or OBE (I'm still having trouble telling them apart when it comes to practice). Even if I end up standing right next to my bed, I'm not in it sleeping. That's disturbing. And finding your dead body? Well, it may freak you out, but like I said, lucid dreams are supposed to be controlled by your mind, and it takes practice for that control to be voluntary. My dreams still go way against me and don't let me do as I please in them. Think of Dr. Doom in the episode of Spiderman TAS where he absorbs the powers of the Beyonder. He starts controlling the world with his mind and when he goes to sleep, demons fly out of his head.

i'm aware that our thoughts do influence our dreams... but my dead body was already there i just hoped it would'nt be dead :d
but i think it would be pretty cool to meet myself in a dream... then again,it would probably be pretty useless since our thoughts would create who we are in the dream... who we think we are in real life but not who we are to others... then again,we are someone else to every other being in the world,so... right, meeting myself would be pretty stupid i guess
well,at least i had a good reminder by this experience that i should start dedicading some time to lucid dreaming again
and i love freaky shit like this
