      my first lucid dream

Hey, I just wanted to share my first lucid dream experience, which happened when I was seven or eight. (I am 19 now.)

During the summers of my youth, I would spend my days at my grandparents house while my parents were at work. My dad would drop me off at 6:30 am, and I would usually sleep again on the couch for a while.

One morning, I fell asleep on the couch and went straight into a lucid dream. I remembered a Spongebob episode I watched before, where Spongebob was exploring his and other peoples dreams and doing whatever he wanted. I thought 'whoa, I'm dreaming just like Spongebob!' Unfortunately, my dream didn't have as much life as his. I was simply in a gray void type area with full consciousness. I remember jumping around and turning my body into a skyscraper, just like Spongebob did in his cartoon. After this, I started to get scared because I thought I was trapped in my dream and I really wanted to wake up. I started screaming for a couple minutes, and then woke up.

I remember that dream to this day, but haven't had a lucid dream since. I wish I could have thought of more fun stuff to do!

Well dellclown, stick around and you should have loads more opportunities to do just that!

That's a real cool way for a kid to get introduced to lucid dreaming. Through a cartoon. Lots of kids have LDs. If you could do it as a child you should be able to do it now. (:
