      first lucid dream

Okay, last night I fell asleep with headphones on listening to binaural beats. I can remember dreaming for most of the night, but not the dreams themselves. I woke up at about 1030 am turned my itouch from the beats to non-voc chill online radio, and fell back asleep.

      The dream itself:
It started off as a kind of nightmare, but it wasn't really scary to me. More like a cool Underworld-like movie. It was about this girl that transformed into this big bat like creature, and hunted people. Luckily the people in the dream were able to get Anthony Hopkins to kill her lol. Anyway, come to find out that he's a creature and he begins to show some other girl how to survive as a creature.

I'm just a spectator and the dream is very movie like. My point of view follows them as they fly through this beautiful land with huge mountains, lakes, and all types of animals. However, when they land for a moment and then take off again I have trouble following them. I have to kind of make myself fly by jumping into it ya know.

So I get off of the ground, but they have already flown away so I just start flying random places, and I end up in this weird ass city, and out of nowhere it hits me that I'm dreaming. So I'm flying around actually looking at things clearly telling myself giddily that "I'm dreaming, I'm actually dreaming."

I landed on the ground, and took off a gain, landed again, and then I decided to open my eyes. I woke up right out of the dream with the same consciousness; no changes really. I felt exhilarated for hours afterward.

man that sounds awesome, nice work. So it wasn't performing an in-dream reality check that made you realise you were dreaming? Sweet

That's sounds to me like an awfully good first LD! Most people instantly wake up, and you didn't, so good job!
If you see a strange typo in my post, blame my iPad for that.

Nicce Congrats. Flying is awesome. Didn't you feel like while you were saying "I'm actually dreaming" that you were just smiling above the city? Thats how I feel when I first come into a lucid dream.
