Control Problems
I have some control problems (my 2nd LD)! I was WILDing last night and I had my first total lucid experience that lasted longer than a few seconds, and was wondering if anyone had any techniques for dream control. I could control myself and things I could physically do (walk, run, ect... in addition to flying and walking through walls) but I couldn't change the scenery (the dream took place in my own house, *yawn*) And I wanted to do magic (throw fireballs, make tornadoes, and whatever else) but I couldn't !!! And for some reason this dream was the kind of dream that you feel very uncomfortable in, like it was disturbing.

There are tons of methods for dream control out there. Search the forum, and just browse through the dream control forum, and you'll find quite a few. Here are some of the most common.
Voice commands are very powerful in dreams, especially when dealing with things like vividness, lucidity, light, etc. If things aren't very vivid, try shouting out "Increase vividness now!" Sounds funny, but its often very succesful.
Dream Spinning is one method of scene changing. First, figure out what scene you want to arrive at. Visualize it and concentrate on it, and start to spin your body. Keep concentrating on the scene, and you should end up there when you stop spinning. If you find yourself in your bedroom, you may still be dreaming, as a lot of people end up in their bedrooms after dream spinning.

i kindof have one if you just picture it being there that sometimes wont work i picture the object getting there like dissolveing from nothingness or if you want to change something i picture it changeing

also what i find to really help me is to not stress it. calmly and passively do it...dont yell or throw a fit or anything like that Dragon ball z crap(if you've seen it). i usually have more success that way

Last night I had a semi-lucid dream where I was trying to enter a building, but I just kept going past it. I kept thinking, "I'm going to enter this building, I'll go in through the next door" and then there would be another door and I'd go on past it. What was absurd is that through my attempts to get it I put like seven doors in a row in the side of this building. Finally I turned the corner of the building and found a door and went in there. That sure took long enough!
