My first REAL lucid dream.
I've had them before, numerous times, but I'd always lose conciousness afterwards.
In this one, I was walking around my father's house, and I realized that part of the house was undergoing construction. When I asked why the closet was undergoing construction (it was a stripped room with nothing inside it), my dad told me right there and then that 'well, it's different because you are dreaming'. And then, I became lucid. I flipped out. I closed my eyes and envisioned being in Minneapolis with Hugh Jackman (don't ask), and I was. I met him. =P
I got so excited that I nearly woke up (I felt myself losing my dream and I got a bit dizzy)! Can't remember much after that, though.
My name's Puffin, I'm new on these forums. I'm fifteen years old. ^_^ I am going to try and become able to induce my own lucid dreams. I've already begun doing reality checks at set times during the day, and tonight I'm beginning to keep a dream journal.
I am extremely good at controlling dreams, so I'm not going to have issues with that, but is there anything important I should know? How long will it take to actually have a lucid dream?
Oh, and random question: what's going on when I close my eyes for a long time before I go to sleep, and suddenly 'jolt' as if I just fell down a flight of stairs or something?
