Post I hate when this happens...

Alright lets just start from the top... LD: I woke up, got up, picked up my lucid journal and jotted down a few dreams I had just had, set it down and went and made a pot of coffee, I then went back to my bed and laid down.

I fell asleep, woke up checked my journal and discovered I had had a false awakening I then laughed a bit for not somehow realizing this. So I jotted down in my journal what had just happened, went and disappointingly found I had to make the coffee all over again. I made it, went back and laid down again and fell asleep.

I woke up, checked my journal and what the hell? There was nothing written for the day. So I had just had a false awakening within a false awakening hahaha, I wrote this down in the journal.. walked to the kitchen noticed the empty pot of coffee.. flipped it off saying fuck you and went and got an apple.

This happens about once a month lol.
      My Current LD Goals:
      [ ] Fly [ X ] Simple Telekinesis [ ] Teleportation [ ] See my dead cousin [ ] Travel Far [ ] Enjoy a nice coconut on a sandy beach [ ] Watch the sunset

Wo, if it seems so real (that's what I'm inferring), must've been very vivid and realistic?
If you see a strange typo in my post, blame my iPad for that.

I've had this before. It so annoying. This is a rather amusing case though, because you did the same thing over and over so the dream must have been exact if not very similar to the previous one.

Hopefully you aren't still asleep now, and wake up only to find you didn't post this topic.

Totally real, and especially when it's a scary false awakening you feel so relief when you see yourself waking up because it was just a dream.

      I'll admit, I laughed a little!
I've had this kind of thing happen before, it's extremely annoying! The worst I've had is waking up, getting ready for work and running out the door; only to wake, have to get ready for work and run out the door. So annoying!

You just get home from a long days work and wake up, in bed before work.

Oh, don't even joke! Haha. All too often I've dreamt of doing a full shift a work (and man did it seem like it) and then woken up to have to go to work in RL.

I find that only happens with jobs I don't enjoy doing, though.

This is why you do RC's when you wake up. EVERY TIME!

Did you check to make sure that there was ink in your pen?
The easiest dream check to do when you're tired from getting out of bed is turning your neck to see if it can go around 360 degerees.

Yes, I must start doing this.
Just last night I dreamt about doing maths coursework, which I was doing before I went to bed and needed to be completed when I woke up! Awful!

I can't count the number of times I've forgotten a great dream, thinking I had written it down when in reality I only had a false awakening. Frustration >.<

Hahaha! That was hilarious, Loaf! (lol, almsot called you Toast )

When I was younger, I had an FA that mom woke me up and asked me to print out 1,000 pictures. I then actually woke up, and realized that she didn't say what kind, and I wanted to make sure I heard right (coz I had just "woken up" when she told me). She said somehting like, "No, I didn't say anything like that." "oh, ok."

Imagine her coming home to a stack of pictures... and no more paper

Oops, there goes the new ink cartridge.

I am doing RCs a lot now. Today my bus routes have changed as the bus company took over another bus company of which I use. The bus was completely different and they cut 10 minutes off the journey, which means we skipped a few streets. I sat there on the bus thinking "Oh crap. What if I am asleep and all day I've been working for nothing?" so I did an RC but all was well. I was worried that I was dreaming because it was such a strong change from my usual commute.
I thought RCs were funny at first (during the day) but especially after reading this topic I see the importance.

Now, I have never thought I was dreaming when I wasn't, and have only had one FA. However, I'm sort of afraid that starting LDing will cause me to have more FA, as well as question reality. Is this just different for different people? I don't want to become paranoid, but I don't want to think I'm dreaming and not RC and then do something stupid, or worse, dangerous

Well when you are awake you can often tell the difference between a dream and reality. When you are awake you are often more logical and have a stronger memory. You also have the ability to easily question if you are awake or asleep.
When you are in a dream you do stupid things. You don't think properly. And if you do something stupid, it won't matter. If you have a dream you are at work or school and spend the whole day there you won't really do any proper work anyway and certainly won't wake up tired.

      I think you'll be alright.
