      First 'total control' lucid.

Copied from my DJ from earlier today, after the post.

I'm unsure of what was happening before the lucidity. All I can really say is, I intended to WILD last night, but I know it was unsuccessful, because I don't remember transitioning at all. Besides, I think I only WILDed for maybe 1 minute or so before I just dropped off.

It was really strange though. I know I was at the beginning of a dream. It's like the office appeared around me. I'm at work, and then my mother and older brother were there. My mother was going to say something to me. It's like a plot was set up and ready to roll. I do the majority of my RC's while at work, so to have two family members there immediately tripped the red flag in my brain. I didn't even RC, I just stopped the plot and knew it was lucid. I ignored DC mum and DC brother and it was like they vanished.

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

The dream started with me standing in the front area at work. Steve and Mum were there. Since I do all of my reality checks at work, my brain already knew that this was out of order and I was lucid almost right off the bat before anything happened.

My mum was trying to say something to me, but I told her to hang on a sec. I decided to stop the dream plot and see where exploring would take me. I was excited to be in total control of my lucidity, but I reminded myself that I’ve done this before, so not to get to excited, work on keeping the dream stable. The dream’s vividness started looking a little muddy. I rubbed my hands together. It worked to keep the dream from fading out, but it didn’t do much to improve clarity. I went over to the glass double doors. Outside, it was night time. The doors were cold to the touch. Feeling the cool glass on my hands brightened the clarity of the dream.

I went outside into the parking lot, and there was a mail box in the corner. I decided to play with telekinesis abilities. The mail box was locked, so I pointed my hand at the box, twisted it to the right, then pulled my hand towards me, to open the box. It did what I wanted, so I giggled happily! I pushed at the air to close the box, and it did so. I’m pretty satisfied that I have a good command of telekinesis. I decided to work on flight.

I pushed off the ground and I was as light as a feather, levitating in the air. I told myself to keep this feeling, if I can levitate, I can fly. I started to guide myself forward and was pulled back down to the ground. I’d forgotten my idea to spawn wings, but I did remember someone else’s idea to pretend you’re swimming, so I pushed off the ground again and started kicking my legs as if I were in water. Once I was up to the height I wanted, I started swimming forwards, but because it wasn’t actually water, it was mid air, I started to roll out of control. Like spiraling through the air. As I spiraled, the scene changed and I was standing in front of an administrative type woman. I may have already actually lost lucidity at this point. The woman clicked her tongue at me disapprovingly and told me my flying skills were not up to par and needed a lot of work. I told her I knew that, and then the dream ended.

I thought I could try to chain back into the parking lot where I knew I had already been lucid, but no luck. I didn’t go back to sleep for about 30 mins.
      Things I forgot:
To spawn wings when I was trying to fly.
      To build a snowman.

      What I learned:
      I still suck at flying
I have no issues with telekinesis
When I want to scene change, I create portals (that look like Warcraft mage portals). Just before I started trying to fly I had thought about taking a portal into the next scene. I was about to conjure one and then decided to try flying first.

Wow, you have had only 4 LDs and you are capable of managing them so well! Getting too excited can destroy a LD in seconds. Also thinking too much of not getting excited sometimes throws me back to nornal dream.
      Good luck with the rest

      Thanks for the feed back

I've actually been having LDs since I was a teenager! So I told myself, don't get too excited, I've been lucid before, I'll be lucid again. I just wish I had a better memory for tasks to accomplish while I am lucid. Glad I got the opportunity to actually explore my surroundings a bit, though. To actually feel what it feels like in my dream body.

Have you made a list of all the things you want to do in LDs? I have done that and reread it periodically (probably reading it every night would be good), and I find some of those things popping up, including in non-LDs, which is what I mostly have. :-)

But I also, when falling asleep and when I'm awake during the night, recall prior LDs and how I realized I was dreaming, and then I think about what I want to do when I realize I'm dreaming, a couple of particular things.

So far I've been pleased at how easy it is to remember what I wanted to do upon becoming lucid--not everything, but a good number of things.

I do have a list of goals, I read them often, but I don't read them right before bed. I can certainly add that too!

It's a bit tricky with how I've been becoming lucid... as the majority of the time it coincides with a dream sign. Actually, it seems like for me, the more random my dream plot, the less likely I am to become lucid from it. For now, anyways, I'm making a conscious effort into becoming more aware of my life, surroundings, asking myself often if I'm dreaming and does everything around me truly, logically, make sense? Can I remember how I got here and what I was just doing before I thought of this?

I'm hoping that this will soon start bleeding itself into my dream-persona as well! It might take months, but I can handle that
