DEILD Experience
I thought that I had a lucid dream before, but this morning I truly experienced one (even though it was only brief).
But I woke up, felt like a sleep-in, so nodded off again at around 9am.
I had a pretty funny dream in which I asked all my friends "so what did you guys dream about last night?" (I was kicking myself after I woke up that I didn't become lucid here, but I did just after this).
Anyway, so after this dream "phased out" I woke up...though I felt barely conscious, didn't even think about opening my eyes or moving, must have been in total SP.
I have experienced HI before, but what I had next was what I think strong HI you get towards the end of a successful WILD (since a DEILD is basically a shortened version of it). I saw a bunch of spinning masks, but not like...in my imagination, they were fully there, but it was in a sort of tunnel-vision (they were kind of far away in my vision).
I remembered at that point what a member of these forums had said about focusing on the image that you see, and as soon as I did this - BAM!
I'm falling in what seemed like real life, could see my hands stretched out to break my eventual crash and the sound...wow I could hear everything so clearly. I started getting all excited because I knew that I was lucid and that the fall wouldn't hurt, so I landed perfectly, laughing.
Then I began to walk forward and remembered to stabilize my dream (because in a strange way I could feel my real body, but it felt miles away) then as soon as I began to rub my hands together...I wake up.
At least this experience has given me an idea of what to expect/how to get into a lucid dream, but it was amazing nonetheless. And there's always tonight. :boogie:

DEILD is great because its so fast and I find every time I DEILD I am fully aware of the transition from reality to the dream world.

Good ol' DEILDs :) Defo my favourite method.

Just thought I'd update this thread again.
The exact same thing happened to me again twice this morning at around...7:30am.
Each time after coming out of a dream, but not entering full consciousness (I think), a small image was floating amongst the darkness.
I saw some sort of logo with a bee on, and whenever I shifted my attention from passively observing it to actively concentrating on it (I was aware that I was trying to enter a dream, these images have that effect on me).
All of a sudden a rushing sound fills my ears and my bed starts vibrating like crazy, then suddenly I'm falling and land in my room, hurrah lucid dream!
It was pretty short but I walked around and was very pleased to see no problems with my vision or sense of control, though I did forget to stabilize things properly.
I also forgot that my mind could randomly create things, and I freaked out once I saw a massive spider on one of the doors, and without thinking I fired some sort of energy ball out of my hand and blew it up.
I woke up shortly after and drifted back to sleep. Had a ridiculous dream where I was absolutely 100% convinced I was awake and teaching people about lucid dreams, I was levitating around and everything, really stupid.
Then the familar experience. I'm staring at darkness, barely aware of what is going on then all of a sudden a little picture of Wolverine appears (?), I focus on it. Bam, same experience and I fly into my lucid dream sideways and land on a messy concrete floor. (Weird that the random image I see suddenly develops a full lucid dream with absolutely no obvious connection between the two.)
I see the dark room and the torn wallpaper and I am aware of something else just right beside me. I'm in some sort of haunted house then I chicken out and wake myself up.
