      beautiful flying experience

I was lucid in a place unknown to me. It was a small suburban neighborhood. I began to fly, and fly high high into the sky, until I was above even the clouds, and when I stopped I dropped down a little bit and was suprised to find a glass floor, stretching across the entire sky. I walked along the glass floor looking down at all the fields and houses and clouds. Seeing straight through the glass was perfectly clear. I just walked along and observed the town below. It was very pretty and vivid. I was so high and I could see the entire town and outskirts. Another good lucid 8)

Sweet. I've only flown once in a lucid dream. It wasn't very vivid, though, and I crash landed into the sea.

      Difference...

How are people sure they are lucid. I mean I have read alot of dreams of people flying and sword fighting, and they don't actually say they were lucid, is that just an assumption. Because I have had some CRAZY flying dreams, and not bcome lucid... is it just obvious that they were lucid in these dreams because they are posting on here?

Being "lucid" just means that you are aware of the fact that you are in a dream. Whether or not you fly, or have any kind of control of the dream, does not determing lucidity, although dreams are usually easier to control when you are aware that you are dreaming.

If you are dreaming, and you KNOW you are dreaming, then you are having a lucid dream. Period.

I take it that you've never had full-blown lucid dream

The difference is that you understand that its a dream, and the implications. You make the decisions consciously.
In a normal dream, you're just mindlessly accepting it as a 'real' situation

It feels COMPLETELY different being conscious of the situation, trust me on this...

Congrats on hte flying business. I, too, flew recently. I scaled the side of a building and then catapaulted myself into the sky and faint clouds. It was great. Kinda wish I'd stayed there. -OUT-

yeah. Lucid is where you realize that you can do anything. Semi-lucid involves doinng said stuff without considering that one is awake. True LD is being aware that you are in your subconscious but that you are awake as well which = SWEET. Anyonw who's had one will know definitely that it is separate from all other dreams, it's the Cadillac of the dreamworld and very much worth pursuing. -OUT-
