      Finally! Two LD's one night

I started trying to LD almost a year ago, I had a good dream recall, but only had 3 LD's, all lasting only a couple off seconds because I became to excited and woke up. So after 2-3 months I stopped, but this month I was starting again. But my DR was bad, very bad. Most off the time only one dream per night, sometimes none. And always with little detail. And no LD's. I recently bought Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming by LaBerge, maybe I could learn a bit more through that book, than just DV. So last night, before I went to sleep I read about three pages or so, while I was in bed. But what an effect, two LD's in one night, after a dry-spell of months.
In the first dream a saw a dream scene being created around me. I saw four people who slowly gained an identity. I wanted the third person to be someone I saw that afternoon in the train, who's clothes I really liked. And when he became that person I realized it was a dream. But I could also feel my body lying in bed. So I couldn't RC, because I thought I would then move my real body. So I kept repeating. This is a dream. This is a dream. This is a dream. I also was doing my best to keep myself calm, because I didn't want to screw up another LD. And I could feel my dream body getting loose from the real body. First I could walk, while still not moving my arms. But gradually I got control of those as well. I started running around. What will I do, now that I'm lucid? I saw a naked girl running and ran after her and thought: "I could have sex. No, that's a waste of my first good LD." So I stopped running. "Ah, what the hell, why not a little" And I kissed a cute girl (with clothes on) that walked by. Then I heard a women's voice screaming for help. So I ran in the direction of the sound and I lost my lucidity. I'll spare you the rest of the dream.

      The second dream:
I was strapped in a chair of an Australian dream researcher. He had a device that would show little flashes when I was in REM-sleep (like in the dreaming devices). I closed my eyes to test it, moved my eyes a little, and it worked. I curled up to go to sleep (strang, because I was strapped in the chair). In my dream I was cycling with a girl in Amsterdam. I looked down and I saw the flashes. I said to the girl: "He, I'm dreaming!". But she didn't really respond. I tried flapping my arms like a bird in an attempt to fly, but it didn't work. So I kept cycling. Because I kept on talking about dreaming the girl took a left and went another route. I came to a piece of land surrounded on three sides with water. I stepped of my bike. I rubbed my hands and shouted clarity. But it didn't do much, since the was already very clear. I walked to the edge of the water and looked around. I saw some houses. A mill. I then thought about one of my goals: to take a bite out of the trunk of a tree, so I walked up to a tree and bent over to take a bite. I could take a very large bite, so it wasn't really satisfying and it tasted excactly as you expacted it to taste. A broke away other pieces of the tree with my hands to see what's inside. It was filled with black construction foam, but that didn't really seemed odd. I then wanted to fly. I spread my arm and started flapping. Nothing. I jumped up and down. Nothing. I closed my eyes and visualized myself floating. I felt myself loosing touch with the ground and when I opened my eyes I saw I was floating a couple centimeters above the ground. It worked, but when I tried to move, to fly, I fell back to the ground. I kept trying. But the girl who I was cycling with and another girl returned. And they began to sing a musical song on the rythm of Bohemian Rapsody of Queen (I don't know if it exists) and where dancing around me, so I couldn't concentrate any longer and I woke up.

As you can read I didn't have full control and awareness, but that doesn't bothers me just jet, because they were my first real LD's and it gave me much more joy, than anything else could undo.
What's the difference between dreaming that you're lucid and lucid dreaming?

To experience lucidity was amazing, put still have to practice a lot. So I couldn't (remember to) do a lot of amazing stuff. But both were DILD's.

Awesome, and I'd also recommend to anyone here (who already hasn't) to get that book mentioned. I got it for Christmas and it's a great read.

      I couldn't agree more
Probably the best book I have bought or read on the subject.
