Latest lucids
Was in a party surrounded by people from my past. Been there before so I just smiled and said <up> I flew through about 8 stories virtically and then had to pass through a load of scaffolding before reaching clear air. Flew over lakes, did a bit of "swooping" and then entered the residential areas, collided with a chimney once but managed to pass through gaps in trees and, the gap at the base of an electricity pylon. I decided I needed more power and manoeverability so I added some thick elastic bands to the soles of my feet which allowed me to speed up at will, however I then had to add them to my hands as well to allow me to turn at the faster speeds.

sounds like you mastered the art of flying :)

Hi, I've been flying for years, its only recently I discovered that there were others etc Discovering this site has been a revalation. If anyone is interested I have my own theories on what helps getting lucid. No alcohol, and a water bed.

A water bed.. hmm. Thats great!
You could associate the sensation of the bed with being in a dream? Miiiight work (well it does, according to you)
About the alcohol - in theory, yes. In practice it hasn't diminished my dreams or lucids at all :?
The theory is that alcohol greatly lowers your level of serotonin and perhaps my levels are excessively high... I haven't determined what the reasons are yet

I find when I drink alcohol, if its a small amount I cant sleep at all and if its a ..um.. larger amount I just wake uo the next day totally unable to recall any dream. I started a dream diary three days ago, the first night I recalled 3 dreams, the second night I recalled 6 including one lucid, last night .... I recall nothing at all. :(

Hmm. Perhaps it warrants an experiment, for those who are able to get alcohol and drink it whenever they please
I'm thinking 2 days of alcohol before bed, 2 days without (2 days because it may take a day to fully recover from the alcohol)
Each person make a log of their dream recall for each day

Thats what I'm doing at the moment in my dream diary. I have a chart with spaces for entries on date, alcohol, number of dreams, description of dreams, lucidity. Today's entry will be in the alcohol tick box only. If a pattern emerges I will post it here. Can you think of anything else I should include in my diary? (Although I've been LD ing for ages I am new to the notion of deliberately bringing on LD etc and haven't been able to read much of the site yet, I have ordered the LeBarge book though.)

Um.. caffiene after 4pm ?
And of course, try to eliminate the use of (or include in chart) things like B6, mint, melatonin, etc etc
The less the better, you don't want to complicate the effects and sit wondering which factor was responsible :P

Ha! caffiene, whats that. About 3 years ago I cut out dairy, caffiene, sweet, junk...the lot. Can't quite bring myself to go the whole way and cut out alcohol though. Dont get me wrong I'm no alcoholic I just have a drink on weekends. The reason I decided to put alcohol in the table is because it is something I have already identified as affecting my dream mode so it will be good to test it and see.
