First Lucid Dream(s)

Hello, haven't been here for a while. But I think I may have had my first lucid dream.. or first seven lucid dreams or so... I'm very used to having the sleep paralysis every time I wake up very early in the morning and go back to sleep, but I was always too freaked out to let it run it's course.
So today I just told myself it's not like I'm going to die or anything. So I let myself go through the weird sleep paralysis and my head rushing so loud that I was confused, and I finally just kinda like went out of my body? I don't know. But I had so many dreams and I knew that I was dreaming and I controlled every single one of them. It's not like I was dreaming about a random topic, because I decided what I was going to dream and where. I controlled just about everything. Then, I had just realized that there was blaring music playing (the Foo Fighters for some reason) and I decided to get up and turn it off since I do keep my music on when I sleep sometimes. So I woke up.. but was still in paralysis and the music completely dissipated.. It was in my dream the entire time. It was so clear and loud sounding it was hurting my ears. I then went back to sleep and the sleep paralysis then happened multiple times after that.
I had a TON of dreams, all that I controlled. I was wondering is this lucid dreaming or am I dreaming about lucid dreaming? Because I knew in the dream that I was lucid dreaming and that my body was paralyzed, yet I was still moving in my dream without a problem, and knew that I could get up at any time I wanted. It kind of confuses me. But it was awesome. :P

no, be careful when saying these things.

Kirsten, being lucid means that you know you are dreaming, means detachment from the plot of the dream.
so, the only person who can judge your lucidity is YOU.

Well, I really think I was lucid, since I pretty much had control over every aspect of the dream even though some things were just randomly happening, I could change it if I wanted to. It was pretty awesome. Haha.

Haha thanks! I signed up for this site soo long ago! I've been wanting a lucid dream ever since. I just kinda gave up after a while, but I'm glad it finally happened. All I did was wake up at around 6am... get some McDonalds breakfast, drive home and fall back asleep. Haha. Usually just waking up in the early morning and being really tired then going back to sleep is what does it. Just because physically I am more tired than my mind is.

Kirsten, I'm extremely impressed! I wish you had included more details as to what occurred in the dreams. Other than that... A great read! Continue to post your results!
