      Eureka!

Okay, I'll try to keep this short. It probably won't be, though.

The other night I had one of my more profound lucid dreams. It started out as any other one of my normal dreams. I remember this one had something to do with the upcoming Star Trek movie, but not content-wise; it was more abstract than that, if that makes any sense. Anywho, I ended up in a weird bathroom stall, rather cramped, but aesthetically pleasing. Coming out from the wall was a weird construct of some sort, partially obstructing the already limited space. I just kinda ignored it as I walked in, but when I looked over my shoulder I started to give it more attention than I should have. Hey, I thought, That kinda looks like a man eating plant made of office supplies!

I was totally chill with that for about a second or so as I turned forward to take care of business. Oh, crap! I realized, looking back over my shoulder at the office supply plant thingy coming out of the wall, I hope it doesn't eat meh! This thing was tiny, mind you, and could probably do nothing more than nibble at my face a bit. You've probably already guessed that it began to animate itself. An old reflex kicked in, and I woke myself up.

As I began to gather my senses, my mother walked into the room. There was a brief exchange of words before I became aware of the impossibility of my mother coming into my dorm room. BAM! There was a sudden rush of lucidity that felt pleasantly like it did back when I first started LDing. In my new-found clarity a sudden realization jolted into my brain. I blurted out the following: "Mom, wait! The integral of 1/*some weird symbol* is MAN EATING PLANT!"

      I woke up immediately.

Out of the three LDs I had that night, for some reason, this incredibly short, seemingly asinine LD, stuck with me the most. It seemed so important at the time, and still does, for some reason.

So, anyone else had a similar Eureka moment while Lucid? Something that seemed so important at the time, but, in the context of waking life, is utterly meaningless?

One of my friends told me a story about a guy who smokes weed every now and then. Every time he did, he felt as if insight after insight came to his mind. So one time before smoking he set a paper and a pen ready to write these insights down.
in the morning he reads: "CD is round"

...That made me wonder too. I thought that every time you feel you have discovered something big you actually have. But maybe that the dream just found that feeling of discovery from your memory bank and linked it with your experience... ?
...One could say that life is like ZEN, every moment is an insight...

I wouldn't care if I were you, I wouldn't pay attention to this because is something without importance.
Remember, it's a dream, and in a dream you can feel all your emotions distorted and magnified.
so, for example, you suddenly have the realization that you understand something, and then, by schemata, you say something like "oh, my god, I know understand the black matter of the universe!", and then you wake up, and you are sure that you have discovered something. but it hasn't to be like that, is just an emotion, remember.
in drugs(well, I'm not sure about this one) and in dreams, EVERYTHING (well almost) can be done, so, you can for example have the realization that you understand some big concept.
before, doctors and psychiatrist, believed the people who claimed to be abduced by UFOs, when scientist asked why, doctors answered "because he seems so confident! so emotive!"
so, these doctors believed his patients only by his emotions, forgetting the logic sense.
the same happens with "astral travelers", when they visit your dreams, you are sure that they alive, that they are real person....because you expect so....because you THINK that....that's the matter.
but also, because in that part, exists a very strong emotion, that makes believe you more, that you are being visited by a dreamer.
if you expect some character to be special, then it will be.
      is the damn same thing.
now, if these things would be real, you would be obtain facts to demonstrate, or at least, you would wake up, and still be sure that something has happened, not happy with that, you will try again to get that emotion, and see if you can get something out of it, and if this is true, the latter day, you will have a paper written with interesting topics that REALLY made sense, not random, vague thinkings like "oh, god exists but only in apples" that you think make sense, but in fact they don't.
just remember, don't be drive by emotions, enjoy them, but be careful.

      bye!!

I once had a lucid dream where I remember discoving something mind blowing and amazing. I forgot what it was though, but I am pretty sure on remembering the dream it turned out to be really mundane and stupid.
